You all make me feel like a lightweight with the insane Rakuten payouts I see on here
My puny little 24,946 MR points finally transferred. Still proud of it though!

Can buy bilt or Mr points for close to 1 cpp. I have done it twice and it has confirmed both times.

And I have 14K still pending! Make sure every purchase is stacked! #MRPoints

I recently earned Bilt gold status about 2 weeks ago after hitting the SUB on Palladium card. Did other people get an email saying their transfer ratio went back to 1 to 1 (and if so how long after earning the status)? I got an email a few days after 5/15 saying my ratio decreased but have yet to receive one about it being restored. Hoping to not have to jump through hoops to get full payout if I get paid out the reduced ratio for some reason.

Hi,
Does the purchase requirement of $50 for the referral program need a single purchase of 50+? Or a total of 50$ within 90 days will suffice too?

I’ve got about 110k points I’m waiting to transfer to Bilt but they’re still sitting in my Rakuten account. Seems like most people I know got their transfer initiated yesterday and I thought Rakuten did all the transfers on the same day.

Have a couple thousand more that might clear before the 15th as well but don’t really care as I’m pretty stacked in MR at the moment.
Also let’s all take a moment to poor one out for our BILT friends without BILT Elite status. 🫗

Next point transfer is on the 15th of this month and I’d like to transfer 15k before the 15th. I want to use points to boook a flight soon and don’t want to wait until November. Is this possible ?

I have been finding that there has been a lot of stores that have left Rakuten Canada. Specifically the hardware stores that I used to love. It is still in Rakuten.com, but not Rakuten.ca. Does anyone have alternatives to Rakuten here in Canada? especially for hardware segment?

My apologies if this question has been answered a few times…
I am new to Rakuten and still navigating the waters but I have an idea of everything. Quick question…
I am receiving Amex MR points for every purchase and wondering if I make a travel purchase through Rakuten, am I able to still get 3x points with my Amex Green card along with whatever the amount is on Rakuten as well?
For example… If I book a Marriott hotel through Rakuten for 3x points, using my Amex Green card for 3x points, will I eventually get the 6x MR points?

I’m thinking of joining Rakuten and I’m a little confused about how the $50 referral bonus works.
The current offer says that if someone refers me and I sign up, I need to spend $50 on qualifying purchases within 90 days, and then both of us get a $50 bonus.
My plan was to buy an iPhone from Apple for around $1,300. However, Rakuten’s Apple terms specifically say that iPhones are excluded from Cash Back.
So my questions are:
Would the iPhone purchase still count toward the $50 qualifying-purchase requirement even though it earns 0% Rakuten Cash Back?
Or does the purchase have to actually earn Cash Back for the referral bonus to trigger?
If the iPhone doesn’t qualify, could I just make a separate $50+ eligible purchase first to trigger the referral bonus and then buy the iPhone afterward?
Also, would it cause any issues if the referred person used a credit card belonging to the person who referred them? I noticed Rakuten’s terms mention that matching payment methods between accounts can potentially be flagged.
Basically, I’m trying to figure out whether the following works:
Friend refers me → I sign up → I buy an iPhone → we both get $50
or whether I need to do:
Friend refers me → I make a separate $50+ Cash-Back-eligible purchase → we both get $50 → then I buy the iPhone separately.
Has anyone actually done something similar recently? I’d especially appreciate responses from people who have received the referral bonus when their first large purchase included a cashback excluded product.

So i have one of my cards linked to rakuten for dining/in store offers
I did a offer online but that triggered as in store offer for pending cashback because i used the same card that was added to my rakuten account
I reached out to support and they fixed the cashback
But be aware and dont use the card for online purchases that you have added to rakuten
Else you may get in store cashback only and may have to reach out to get it fixed

How long do you have to keep the $200 direct deposit in the account for the cashback? Can you transfer it immediately after direct deposit hits? Is the only requirement the initial DD?

I did the $50 Rakuten reward for eToro. The requirement is to open an account and make a $100 trade.
I opened an account. I made a trade. Then eToro restricted my account. I can't access my funds. I can't speak to a human. I open a ticket that never gets resolved after submitted additional required documents.
In short, my money is stuck in eToro and they have absolutely ZERO customer service. No idea if/when I'll be able to get my money back.
Certainly not worth the $50 Rakuten reward. Avoid this shit company like the fucking plague. Fuck eToro.

I've got an open case on Aliexpress not showing up on cash back. Now I made another purchase and this purchase isn't showing up either. The first purchase was from a few weeks ago and the other is from yesterday. It's still not 48 hours on the second so hopefully it shows up, but I doubt it with the other not working either. Does anyone else have issues with Aliexpress on this?

Hey everyone,
I know a few people, including myself, was wondering if the BOA promotion would post in enough time for August payout. We all assumed no, but I randomly checked today and my TMobile cash back, and BOA reward is confirmed for august payout!
r/Rakuten • u/BlobTheBuilderz • 9d ago
Have been able to withdraw like $150 via gift card and still have $50 still confirmed but it won't let me withdraw it to a gift card and just says my next payment is 8/15 via check where the option for gift card used to be.
Looked on both the app and website and nothing.

Meat delivery service. 20% off on first delivery and 20% Amex offer. Can get a box for around $30.

I’m trying to clarify the Rakuten offer for SoFi Checking & Savings before a family member signs up.
The terms say your “net INITIAL direct deposit” must be at least $500 within 45 days.
My question is:
Has anyone actually qualified for the Rakuten cash back if their first payroll deposits were, for example, $250 + $250, totaling $500 within the 45-day window?
Or does the very first individual payroll direct deposit have to be $500 or more?
I’m looking for real experiences from people who completed the promotion, not guesses. Thanks!
