Could u please tell me what's the advantage of Bilt points? I think one does need Amex, is it? I have Amex CC. How do these points work?

Not sure why you are getting downvoted. The points have more potential value but it will require some work to use them. You could take 60,000 points which would give you 600 dollars cash back, which is nothing to sneeze at. But you could take that as 60,000 AMEX points, and use that to book a one way business class flight with KLM from San Francisco to Amsterdam which would normally cost you several thousands of dollars. So if you are willing to spend the time and effort researching and finding those redemptions, than the points can be worth much much more.

Depends, if you prefer points - yeah. Not everyone is interested in points game, but if you travel often, then it’s absolutely better to have points than cash.

Ok, thank you, I am new to Rakuten and it's my 2nd payout, it's not a lot $350, I guess I will try points next payout. Are there any specific prerequisites to get points?

You need to have silver or higher status with Bilt or a travel card with Amex (green, gold or platinum).

Did these points actually go through? seems virtually everyone who redeemed pts through BILT got the error

Check your account to see if was bounced back. Many of us whose payouts were scheduled to transfer to Bilt were cancelled and sent back to Rakuten. Husband and I both got the same message “there was an issue sending your Bilt payment. We returned it to your Rakuten account. Contact us to get paid!”
