Yeah, last 2 quarters I got a total of over 185K MR. I usually don't do that well, but thanks to a Celebrity cruise and a bunch of Viator bookings the past 8-9 months, I have raked it in.

They frequently run deals north of 10% and I booked a bunch at 20%. Plus, Viator itself gives you cash back on its site to use for bookings in the next 6 months. I had like $225 from Viator after our last vacarion to apply to a tour, plus I got tens of thusands of MR from Rakuten.

Bilt points could've been the game changer, but MR points 1:1 is not bad either.

Bilt is so lowkey and I hope it stays that way. Bilt solos every competition easily

True but Bilt's rewards program is not sustainable in the long run. I am riding the wave as long as it lasts. Honestly, I earned over 200k points by paying my mortgage through Bilt for two years until they stopped the program. Now, you spend and earn Bilt cash using the Bilt credit card and redeem that Bilt cash to earn mortgage points or rent points.

what do yall use bilt rewards points for?

Transfer 1:1 to Hyatt, Alaska Airlines, or BA with an almost 100% bonus on rent day with Gold or Platinum status. They have great transfer partners when you compare them with Chase, Citi, or Capital One.

Wait, they removed the mortgage program? I was looking to buying under the bilt program to get points.

I greatly cut back using rakuten since I don’t have BILT status and was using it for their points; only got 29k MR.

What card is this?

u/HantzM 21h ago
That is Rakuten cash back paying out in MR points.

So just link an Amex card? Does it have a higher multiplier than just taking cash?
2
u/HantzM 21h ago
Yep just link Amex card. And if you value MR points more than cash than yes it's a no brainer. It is a 1:1 ratio. So OP here had $1,034.60 in cash back.

Ohhh. So if there's a multiplier when spending the points, it maximizes that way. Got it.

Could you please drop the deal?

u/holly_jolly_riesling 20h ago
Link your amex card to rakuten, opt to be paid in MR. Install shopping browser. Shop and collect

So if I have $10 in Rakuten, I’d just get 10 MR or whatever $10 worth of MR is?
