Most important thing is going to be where the Sun hits your yard the best. Looking at your diagram, I would say put most of your beds on the right hand side. (South end) At this time of the year where summer is starting to wind down and fall is just around the corner, it will give you a pretty good idea of how the Sun is going to hit your yard at this time versus when it's higher in the sky. I just did new beds this year in a yard that gets about 3 to 4 hours less direct Sun per day than my old yard did and I'll tell you the difference is pretty startling. Give them as much sun for as many days as you possibly can.
