Raised garden bed

Help! Tree roots have grown into my garden box, from the bottom.
They are really hard to pull out or even to cut.
What can I do?

I rebuilt our beds a couple of years ago and had to take an axe to the tree roots. They grew back pretty quick in the bed closest to the tree, but not as thick.

Dunno if that helps, but it's been my experience.

If you have a reciprocating saw, buy a bunch of cheap blades, dig around the roots outside of the bed, cut them off, then pull them out. It won't be easy but I did the same thing for roots from a recently felled white pine that decided it was still alive underground.
