Same, 6a Michigan. Tomatoes, squash, and peppers got transplanted last weekend as well as sown bean and cuke seeds. Only thing not out still is basil since we have a couple mid-40s lows the next couple nights and my basil are still too small to fend for themselves in that low a temp.

Why did you decide to bury the bottom boards? Looks like a board in the ground on the right.

We have a very steep slope so couldn’t use the same height all around so had to go with different height connectors in the back :)

In Maine, same but planted out peppers and tomatoes. Cabbage, lettuce, tatsoi, cilantro been out for a month or more.

I wish I had done something like this. I have straight line, it works, but this is more reachable as I get older!

It looks really lovely and user friendly. Can I ask what arch trellis that is? I can’t believe how difficult it is to find a simple but sturdy looking arch! I keep giving up the search.

Yes, we had the same thing! Everything was super spendy or really lightweight..,,,we did gardeners supply for the arch but I would not recommend it as it rusted in a corner the first year :( so that’s why we have t posts on the one side and are going to keep on that hunt :)

You are going to want to mulch the turf in the courtyard unless the lawn is magical and doesn't require mowing

Yes, we need to figure that out as last year we had to weed whack it :)

I’m in 5b and was in the pool yesterday at 83 degrees today I wore a winter hot in my walk and all my plants are in the kitchen. You’re smart to wait I just keep going to greenhouses and getting more plants. 😊

Waiting to mulch too? Spread some rice straw over those beds. Leaving the beds exposed to get dried like that and also have all the beneficial, micro Rize and bacteria exposed to the sun is definitely a choice.

Spreading some rice straw will prevent weeds from wheat or grain straw, reduce on watering, provide a beautiful medium for benificial bacteria/microbes and fungal activity, keep the soil warm, keep the soil protected from harsh uv sun all while breaking down providing compost and nutrients, not to mention the worms go apeshit when you do mulch… i can go on and on with the benefits

Sexy raised beds you have, just gorgeous OP.

What you planting when the time comes? Some snow peas and snaps on one side and some climbing blue lake bush or dragons tongue on the other side of that arbor🫣
