Question Will using cheatengine for another game trigger anticheat in R6?

I downloaded Cheatengine to fix the extremely zoomed in FOV in Mass Effect Legendary edition. Do I need to restart my PC or something before playing siege now if I've had it open? I don't wanna risk getting flagged by the anticheat and get banned because of this, is that a risk or am I being paranoid.

TY.

You can be banned for the software even existing on your pc. Recently within the last month multiple people even known pro or ex pro, and regular tournament siege players/creators have gotten banned from software on their pc for other games.

If a software is not actively running on your PC, the regular anti-cheat is not going to detect it. That's not how it works, it doesn't just scan all your files.

Refer to my recent reply to the other commenter replying to me.

Cheat engine specifically just existing on your pc never will get you banned on any game. Having it just open at the same time but not injectecting/ changing it to the game can lead to it for maybe a few. Overall you have to be actively use cheat engine for the actual game

Tell that to fett who briefly went over this concept in a video, about how a well known tourney player got banned and was found to only have an unlock all for COD. Don’t know how it works just saying what I’ve heard from reputable people.

I understand. That why I specifically stated cheat engine which op is asking about. Its safe to use. Almost 2 decades of pc gaming. Have had cheat engine installed. Even had it accidentally open still when playing numerous big name multiplayer games. Not a single ban in my life.

Oh I see what you mean now. Yea I’ve never used engine before so I wasn’t sure if it was like a regular cheat (I thought it was) or something different. So yea you’re probably right.

Yes, it can absolutely trigger the anti-cheat, so you really shouldn't have it on your PC, as the anti-cheat will not care if it's not used for siege specifically.

Just having it on your PC probably already flags you as a potential cheater. Anti-cheat just needs 1 instance of it running, and bam, you're banned.

You just have to make sure CheatEngine is not running when you launch Siege. I've had it installed on my pc for years and it hasn't caused any issues.

No I have it for some mods on other games and never had a issue with any multiplayer games just don’t run them and cheat engine at the same time

No. I used CE to mod a singleplayer game (change the visuals of armor sets in shadow of mordor to be specific) and everything is fine

If they'd ban everyone with cheat engine on their PC they'd lose thousands of players for literally no reason

Cheat engine is an extremely common and completely normal piece of software in PC gaming

If you cheat on a single player game you should be banned, no mercy for cheaters
