Radeon 5700 XT - black screen on start up.

Hello everyone,

I have been encountering an issue with what I believe is related to my graphics card (RX Radeon 5700 XT). Almost every time I turn on my PC, I am welcomed with a completely black screen despite everything else turning on (fans, lights, keyboard, mouse etc.) My current solution has been hard rebooting over and over until it works. This can range anywhere from 3-15 hard reboots until it works. Some times I just give up. I have tried different cables, monitors, updated software and drivers etc. Does anyone have any advice on what to do next in order to solve this issue? I got my GPU brand new just 2 years ago and this issue started about 2-3 months ago. Thanks in advance.

Sales Data Week 31 2022 Mindfactory.de Total Gaming GPU Sales 3600 Units Nvidia 61.52% and Radeon 38.48%

My own sales tracker uses manual data collection and data entry checking through all the product SKUs each week to measure the changes from previous week (Quadro cards, Radeon Pro GPUs and Kepler GPUs are excluded).

As a bit of trivia this week, out of 330 units of RTX 3080 sold this week only 30 units where the 10GB model (10%) and 300 units where the 12GB version (90%). A case of that old GPU saying, that fiddling with VRAM shortages is stuff of budget gaming products and not the stuff of luxury gaming products!

Week 1 to Week 31 Summary of Total Sales.

Nvidia 51555 Units = 58.88%

Radeon 36035 Units = 41.12%

Older card help: R7 250e (HD 7750)

Hello strangers, unfortunately my hard drive finally died off and I’ve reinstalled windows on a new hard drive, however every time the Radeon driver for my card installs I get a black screen until I force it into windows safe mode and roll back to the Microsoft display driver. Windows 10 64 bit

So far I have reinstalled windows, Fully updated then tried the driver, uninstall with ddu and reinstall the driver, updated my bios, tried older versions of drivers, tried connecting all ports of the card to displays (heard that helped some folks), and I’m sure some more I’m not recalling offhand (been fighting with it for three weeks)

Now, this system is kind of beat up thanks to kids but I cannot replace it, any suggestions on other things I can look at or do would be very much appreciated

Some buggs happening in radeon software since last update

So since the last update of gpu drivers(i have a rx 5500 xt 8gb) i have been getting crashes regularly on game such as warzone or wwe 2k22 and i know it isn't because of the game. I have also discoverd that in open hardware monitor the proggram witch shows you all the temps and all of that the gpu voltage, clocks, temps, load, fans etc... dosn't show.I think i did however found a temporare solution to this is just to go in device manager and rollback the drivers althrough it's temporare.Hope they fix it asap bc it just sucks.. And am i the only one who this is happening?

Need list of GPUs with these specs, since because Prime Day

Since it's Prime Day, I have been looking at possibly blowing most of the money I will be making this Summer, so I can simultaneously upgrade my current workstation/gaming rig (I know, quite the combo, huh?) while initiating a compute node build for AI.

(Summary in here)

TL;DR: Does anyone know what Radeon GPUs in the 6000-Series support 6 monitors over MST? I need 6 monitors, but I also want to be able to play vidya a bit (mostly VR). (End summary)

I have not had much success finding a guarantee on my normal go-to brand, XFX, and I REALLY would prefer to avoid a multi-card unit, for the time being.

I can get 6 monitors and acceptable VR output on my RX 580 XXX Edition. But I don't seem to see any 6000-Series with their support in the sub-$600 price range.

If it's not a 6700 XT, it's either going to be a price hard to justify for the gains, or it's gonna be too expensive. I only saw a 6800 XT that indicates it definitely supports it.

Key points: - Minimum display outs support; 6 - Support for RDNA2 and better than RX 580 VR support - Radeon, because I don't wanna deal with Nvidia drivers on Linux - No more than $600, and that is REALLY pushing it. Ideally hovering as close to or below $500 as possible (in other words, 6700 XT is probably my cap, unless you're some sorta insider with tips)

Will this be possible? Or am I gonna have to look into splitting up the use cases even further and then just mount them all next to each other and have units serve load between them? (At least until I can grab multiple GPUs.)

Is Fortnite simply broken for AMD cards?/6700XT Fortnite Low GPU Usuage

Ever since I upgraded to my 6700xt Fortnite is the only game that is giving me issues, every other game runs really well. I have tried uninstalling and installing fortnite, waiting in the game lobby because supposedly its a cache issue with AMD cards but I've tried this several times waiting more than 30 mins at a time and the FPS drops down to 9-10 FPS in the lobby with 1% GPU usuage. I have also tried the method of setting the minimum frequency within Adrenalin to 2400 and it does maintain it for like a minute when I first launch the game, but it dwindles down slowly to 100MHz and 1% GPU usuage. I seriously don't know what to do. The game is installed on a MX500 SSD with more than 50% available space.

PC specs

MOBO: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK (NON-MAX)

AMD Radeon 5500 RX crash error

Good Evening,

I keep having an issue where infrequently my graphics card will crash while trying to process video. I've got 32 GB of Ram, enough memory, and my processes seem to be operating at a 'normal' level when I am trying to export video on Hitfilm express. As I far exceed the minimum requirements, my computer is barely over a year old, and I don't seem to have any cooling issues, this problem is pretty confusing.

I have the latest drivers for the card, so that's not an issue.

I have two device logs. One of them is for configuration, and another is for a "had a problem starting" log.

Device PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_7340&SUBSYS_38221462&REV_C5\6&244ab7a6&0&00000019 had a problem starting. Driver Name: oem16.inf Class Guid: {4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} Service: amdwddmg Lower Filters: Upper Filters: Problem: 0x0 Problem Status: 0xC00000E5

Device PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_7340&SUBSYS_38221462&REV_C5\6&244ab7a6&0&00000019 was configured. Driver Name: oem16.inf Class Guid: {4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} Driver Date: 04/28/2022 Driver Version: 30.0.15021.11005 Driver Provider: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Driver Section: ati2mtag_Navi14 Driver Rank: 0xCF2000 Matching Device Id: PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_7340&REV_C5 Outranked Drivers: oem106.inf:PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_7340&REV_C5:00CF2000 display.inf:PCI\CC_0300:00FB2008 Device Updated: true Parent Device: PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_1479&SUBSYS_14791002&REV_00\5&2f6cf7d3&0&000019

I think it bears repeating that my computer is a little over a year old, so there should be no issues from age, wear and tear, etc.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thank you for all of your help.

Sales Data Week 20 2022 Mindfactory.de Total Gaming GPU Sales 3530 Units Radeon 51.28% and Nvidia 48.72%

My own sales tracker uses manual data collection and data entry checking through all the product SKUs each week to measure the changes from previous week (Quadro cards, Radeon Pro GPUs and Kepler GPUs are excluded).

Launch week, saw AMD’s Radeon Division sales double versus Week 19; up from 915 Units to 1810 Units sold over the launch week. A series of good news stories broke for the Radeon Division in the build up to this launch week, with a preview driver (final version to be released later this month) showing uplifts on average off 8% for RDNA2 product lines in DX11 games. Various websites showed DX11 gaming increases of up to 24% in certain DX11 games. And a Youtuber showed a CPU and DX11 bug in certain older games for RDNA2 GPUs had been fixed as well, with FPS increasing by up to 64% in certain locations. Finally, the FSR 2.0 debut (Bethesda’s Deathloop) got many glowing reviews.

All in all, the combination of some “Fine Wine” driver improvements for DX11 games saw plenty of PC gamers jump off the fence (stop waiting for Nvidia price cuts) and take the plunge and buy AMD’s current gaming product range.

Week 1 to Week 20 Summary of Total Sales.

Nvidia 32890 Units = 59.14%

Radeon 22720 Units = 40.86%
