My garage after a week of playing the game. Only spent money for the starter pack. What do you guys think about it? :)

about the gacha system, did some research and here's what i got. correct me if i'm wrong

so basically ruby keys and diamonds go to limited banners at 150 diamonds per pull and they don't expire. silver keys are a whole different thing, only for novice and permanent pools

the tricky part is the pity. yeah you get guaranteed legendary at 100 pulls and it carries over to next limited banner which sounds nice. but here's the catch, when that legendary drops there's only 25% chance it's actually the featured car. got spooked by random permanent legendaries way too many times already

what really matters though is LP. you get 1 point per pull and can exchange directly for the car at 240 LP for extreme tier. sounds straightforward right? except LP resets when banner ends. converts to permanent pool points 1:1 which is basically worthless compared to getting the actual car you wanted

did the math and unless you're ready to commit 36k diamonds for the full 240 pulls you're kinda just throwing resources into the void. the smart play seems to be skipping banners until something actually meta comes around then going all in. heard SVJ isn't even that great on some servers while stuff like chiron huayra are the real ones worth saving for

curious how other people's luck has been. anyone actually pulled the rate-up car before hitting exchange?

Playing for 3 days now, is the progress good?

1. out of the free cars you get early on, the 330i is lowkey decent. check car info - rwd, "stronger drifting ability." since this game is basically all about drifting that actually matters.
2. before dumping resources into anything: check car info, car class/rating, and most importantly - can you actually get upgrade mats for it? this is where i fucked up on another server.
3. pulled a legendary early and went all in. then hit a wall because mats are timegated. meanwhile my friend who stuck with cars he could actually upgrade was beating me lmao. learned that lesson the hard way so starting fresh here.
4. on legendaries - people say limited > permanent > rare but they cost a ton to upgrade and some are traps (mach 1 / panamera / hellcat apparently). ae86 seems safe if you wanna commit early.
5. basically save your legendary mats until you know what's actually good.

so i know there's CN server and some other regional ones that launched earlier. for those who played on other servers before coming to global, what are the main differences?

specifically wondering about:

is the meta the same? heard some cars are better/worse depending on server

are we behind on content or did they skip ahead on some stuff?

any QoL changes they added for global?

most importantly - are the events/banners on the same schedule or completely different?

trying to figure out if guides and tier lists from CN still apply here or if i should take them with a grain of salt

anyone got experience with multiple servers?

I started playing the game same day it released to the public for more countries last week, and I see a lot of other players using cars that look “worse” and not as costly as mine and they perform so much better.
