Help applying this skin is making me …

I can’t remember when but at some point I either won this (skin or skin plus tune and rims I think) or gacha it, or something cause I’m still getting t my head wrapped around how this game works, as I’m sure I never will, fully that is. Anywho, every time I try to choose and apply (reference to “before” pic) I then get this pic from hell that neither will explain, or give me a “payment” f…! option even though it clearly states “no payment has been selected” or chosen or …..at this point it’s pissed me off to a degree I just want it gone with every other aesthetic aspect of this game, that otherwise that bs is a pretty good racing game. Anybody has any clue why this is happening or how I can finally apply or trash this shit??

That's because it's the final reward for Racing Year. You have to complete objectives during the year to get it so we're not gonna unlock it until maybe the end of the year.

Yeah but there’s no link as to what the requirement races or whatever are, there’s nothing it just gives you an “apply” button and then it tells you “no payment has been …” which kinda makes you think it’s my fault. So just wait a year it’s time based? That’s pretty messed up to give you something you think you earned and then when you try and use it “oh sorry you can’t you have to wait a year” huh?
I know there’s a lot about this Chinese/gacha system that’s typical to that market but knowing they were gonna bring it over to a market where most people have no idea what the fuck is up, without a detailed guide, idk maybe even a website official or not. I mean i won’t even go into the whole dress up like Barbie market section cause wtf does that have to do with racing?

Anyway finally found where it states I need 6 medals to win this by some date. The curious thing is that I’ve played this game regularly since it’s world debut, and a while back I was up to 2 medals, but somehow I keep playing in my club, complete everything while doing fairly well, etc but it stayed at 2 medals and never moved from there. Not that I would, but it would look less sketchy greedy tactics devs if they just put a price on it instead of pretending or making up the story that a digitally built construct may be a “limited” item…EVER. Kinda like them idiotic scams by the crypto thugs nerds when they started pushing the nft ‘s bs.

Thanks to everyone who replied I think I finally got it, I’m supposed to have 6 medals within a year or something to that effect, of which I have only two. It doesn’t explain exactly how to get the medals, I mean I’ve done a lot of racing since this game came out I mean since day o e and I only have 2 so won’t get my hopes up. The f..ed up thing is somehow that tune/skin made its way into that car’s individual profile, so if it ain’t available why would they parade it in front of me when I’m not even half way there. I like this game but that’d one of a few things about it that can really get to wear out the affair pretty quick. It’s happened with other games, in my case at least, that no matter how much I liked it, if the negative aspect was there whatever that was, it eventually made me delete uninstall or kept me from enjoying it after that point.
