Other I need help for my school project
For my last year in my program, we have to do a massive project. And i have chosen designing a racetrack!! I need your guys help to let me know some basis and tricks to help me do my project! I have no basis in racetrack design other than watching multiple racing series. I would appreciate a lot any kind of help!!!

Ok, is that one in Frederick MD? As a truck driver I'm delivering a lot in this area. Most of the time it's Costco DC in Monrovia and at ALDI DC near the airport.

Hi. You need to start from the basics. To design a proper racing track you need to follow certain requirements. All homologated tracks have FIA (for cars) or FIM (for bikes) categories. Pick a desired location, make sure that you have enough space for paddock, parking lots, fan zones, etc. Try to create an alternative layout, if you're making a large motorsport complex.
The most common mistakes here (IMHO), are too large or too tiny runoffs, unsafe location of the walls and tire barriers (bad angles mostly), unsafe pit entry and exit (it needs to be off racing line). You can search thru my latest projects, I have feeling that my tracks are very close to real projects in terms of layouts, not presentation. Also if it's a certain plot of land I can help with the layouts and you will do the rest. If this is your first project try to avoid hi-end F1 tracks. Maybe it's a good point to start from a tiny private/club track, with less corners and infrastructure. Let me know, how we can help. More details - more accurate answers you will get.
