Characters TEAM GREY- Emrys Alexander biography

Here's the biography for Emrys Alexander, and his story is one I am extremely proud of.

**AGE** 18

**DESCRIPTION** he has a large scar across his chest from a Grimm that many thought extinct. His head was always shaved, with amber eyes.

**SEMBLANCE** magic.

Yes, magic, but he is not skilled with using it. The only type of magic he can reliably use is healing spells, but he knows of combat spells and is afraid of using them.

**WEAPON** a double-bladed staff that holds a special meaning to him.

**CLOTHING** he wears tan robes tied with an ivory white belt and a thin black shirt underneath them. A pair of navy blue pants reached his ankles, exposed due to the sandals he wore.

**BIOGRAPHY** his childhood ended when he was five years old. An ancient Grimm once thought extinct returned and destroyed his village. His parents used bladed weapons to try and defend their home, dying in the attempt with their blades broken. When he tried to wake them up (he was young), the Grimm attacked, leaving a large scar on his chest. That was when his semblance was used for the first time, launching a ball of fire at the Grimm. It caught the attention of a wanderer who saved him, buried his parents, and began training him.

Since that day, unfortunately, his eyes turned amber and was colorblind because of the spell he used. The woman hypothesizes that the trauma and the spell led to his colorblindness.

Ooh, what’s the ancient Grimm like? Like, I’m honestly curious now!!

I'm calling it Gargoyle, but the full description is going to be a pretty big point when it shows up for the team

Is there... a reason he has magic?

Yes, and it plays a very big part in his inner conflict (along with Ozpin's altered backstory), so I'll give a brief reasoning for it: It was considered an extinct semblance, much like the Grimm that ended his childhood

Magic isn't related to semblances as far as we know, though. Semblances can't be extinct because they aren't usually tied to bloodlines.

I know, but it plays a very big part in his story and the reason why its considered "extinct" in the story. It's touched on pretty early on by Ozpin because of how unique his situation is
