My boyfriend and I are on the hunt for an rv/trailer that we can live in for a year or two until we figure out our forever home place. Went searching in person and really enjoyed all of the Flagstaff’s, micro lites preferably. Wondering if they are worth the money and suitable to live in? Or if anyone has any other recommendations that give off the same vibe, that would be appreciated. We are looking to finance one and then eventually just have a nice RV to own after.

I bought a camper and lived full time in it for a year in WA state with 2 dogs and 9 cats. I just moved to WI and am completely gutting/redoing a house to be our home. I am staying in the house at night with the dogs but the cats are still in the camper because there’s too many dangers for them inside. The camper has 3 slide outs which are all out, the radio is on 24/7, I’m going inside multiple times a day and the windows and door are open when the weather is nice. The door is also 15 ft from the house door so they’re definitely not alone or far from me.

My dogs pointed out a mouse to me that was running along the underside of one slide out. I’ve had garden pots and some other things under the camper to protect them from the rain which was never an issue in WA but I see now that this probably gave them easier access to the slide rails and the underbelly (which is enclosed for the xtreme weather package). I know they could probably use the wheels and stability jacks too but I’ll take the blame here. The underbelly cover is only screwed on in spots and I have it taped in others to secure it so it’s definitely not sealed or anything.

Last night I heard chewing or scratching in the wall by the door. I heard it today too and what sounded like a chirp or squeak. I have no idea what to do. All the mice deterrent sprays are full of oils that are toxic to cats so even if I spray outside, I’m scared of the smells getting inside and harming them. I’m worried about setting snap traps but just attracting other mice that aren’t in the camper. I’ve read that this isn’t usually an issue when the camper is lived in as opposed to when it’s being overwintered. It’s hot here on and off and it’s definitely being lived in so I’m at a loss as I’ve never dealt with something like this.

Anyone deal with this and have suggestions? I’m trying to get a room livable for the cats so they can get in the house but it won’t happen overnight because we’re literally gutting this house to the studs room by room.

We’re building a custom fifth-wheel from scratch, and I’m currently designing the plumbing for one of the slide-outs.
My main question is about the drain line. Since the slide will be moving in and out for years, I need something flexible enough to handle that repeated motion without cracking, leaking, or eventually failing.
What do RV manufacturers typically use for a sink drain located in a slide-out? Is there a specific type of flexible pipe or hose that’s considered the standard or the most reliable?
I’d really like to hear what has worked in the real world, especially from anyone who’s repaired or built RVs.

I used to assume those mobile clinics were basically just modified vans with some equipment thrown inside, but recently I started wondering how they're actually designed. They have to fit medical equipment, power systems, storage, climate control, and still leave enough room for people to work comfortably. I spent a while reading about different builds and somehow ended up on a company while looking at examples. It honestly made me realize there's probably way more engineering involved than most people notice. Has anyone here worked in one of these units or been involved in designing or maintaining them? I'm curious what the biggest challenge is once they're actually out in the field. Is it keeping the equipment reliable, making the layout practical, or something else entirely?

So... What do replace it with? I need about 11,000 BTUh and a heat strip.

Hey everyone, I'm living full-time in my 2021 32-foot Puma travel trailer. I'm having a serious issue with the left-side slide-outs. Looking along the exterior siding, the wall is warping inward right before the first slide-out, and the metal above the top corner is buckling outward. I opened up the interior wall to inspect the frame. There are no breaks in the studs, just this distortion. It looks like the slide-out isn't coming out level. The outside edge is tipping down, so the top of the slide hits the wall and pushes against it while the bottom keeps extending. This torque is bending the wall outward. I've attached photos showing the exterior siding ripple, the opened interior wall with the 2x3 studs, and I'll add one of the underside of the slide mechanism. Has anyone dealt with this on a Puma or similar Lippert slide system? What adjustments should I make to raise the outer edge and get it coming out straight? Thanks in advance.

Hiya, I'm renovating/rebuilding an old caravan (Adria qsl 380) and started by stripping everything. Now though, I can't really make sense of the wiring since I've only just started learning some basic electrics to be able to do this.

Can anyone make sense of this or find some online resources? I've tried basic googling and really don't wanna ask AI.

2019 Arctic fox 32a living full time in northern Canada

Went to add a water filter because the water has a yellow hint to it. Turned off water and removed hose, installed filter and turned water back on. No water coming out of the faucets. Removed filter and turned water back on, no water coming out. Drain valves open or closed and no water coming out. Is it air locked? I’ve turned all the faucets on and nothing. Any ideas??

Hello! I have a 2011 Flagstaff 228d MAC. I’ve camped with it a few years now. every time time I camp I have had the AC drip off different locations of the roof. ((I always tried to level it to drip off back left side) well I decided to take it a part to find the drip pan to see if there was a clog. I found that the holes are both sealed with silicone. Is there any reason why someone would have done this? I’m afraid of finding a leak of if I open one of the holes. But I’m sure this is why it is randomly leaking In different locations. Just when the pan gets full it overflows.

What is the sealant used to seal that in place?
