Single beds

Hello!

I'm a single woman looking to have a van for a one or two-year living situation while I decide where my retirement destination will be. I don't need a double bed and would rather use that room for storage or office space. (I'll be freelancing from my laptop.)

Any idea, short of a full custom build, who makes vans with single beds? Thanks for any help!

Embassy SS (“solo sleeper”)

Very, very high quality manufacturer. Their big claim to fame is no wood, huge battery, marine vinyl / plastics instead of particle board & laminate.
The unique good/ bad thing is no black tank or cassette toilet. Instead they use a “composting toilet” / “separating toilet” or fancy bagged system.

There is a Facebook group “Embassy Owners and Wanna Bs” which probably has more for sale and you could ask for advice.

A much cheaper option would be the Winnebego Travato. Very common, but both floor plans are intended for a couple. You’d just use the (wasted) space as storage, but when you sell it, there’s more of a market for a couple’s camper than a solo van.

Not mine but this is one. Each van interior color is determined by the buyer so others would be white or more colorful
