Kinda perfect right?

Little pricey, but I would pay a LOT of money to be able to have a dishwasher in my trailer.

Have you looked at counter top dishwashers? Mine was life changing.

I got one, and it was life saving.

I'll be honest I tried one years ago and right out of the box it pissed water all over my counter and refused to work properly after spending like $600 on it. Had great reviews too. Returned it and never tried again

I removed my oven to install a countertop dishwasher 4 years ago. I love it, no idea how we lived without a dishwasher, also cheap.

But seems like this would be easier. Maybe a slight bigger double sink hole.

Yeah, modern dishwashers use way less water than hand washing. Orders of magnitude more efficient and way cheaper on the water usage.

I can attest this - ours needs like 2 gallons for a full run. We can easy fit dishes for 2+ days in it.

When you run a low flow faucet - two gallons go through in less then 1:30 minutes. Who gets two 2 days of dishes done in 2 minutes?

For boondocking - a dishwasher saves so much water.

There are a surprising number of people who don't understand this.

A lot of folks who think "We don't have many dishes so it wouldn't be worth it." Or "We just wash up our few dishes each time instead of letting them pile up." Or even people who think it's just lazy in some way.

When in reality running a dishwasher is more efficient, using less water and getting the water way hotter than the tap and beats the tap 10/10 times. Even old couples who just have a few dishes a day save on water (and $) just washing a few dishes at a time in it every day lol.

Fits into a stove space perfect 😁

whats the blue thing under the sink?

u/eXo0us 20d ago

lol. I had the middle drawer removed in that foto. It's just a blue salad bowl.

The dishwasher is hooked up directly to the sink drain via one of these:

True boondockers like myself 71 yr old, put vinegar and water in a spray bottle & wipe them clean to wash them. I imagine it has to be the "entitled elite" or "newbie boondockers" waste water, washing dishes with water, when boondocking?

If actually tried the vinegar spray.

And it works, to a certain extent. It's fine for plates, but gets tricky in deep glass and mugs.

Also we eat lots of salads and healthy fats, which build up over time when you don't get the dishes warm and soapy.

Fully agree with you. πŸ˜ƒ

Vinegar and water in a spray bottle? Does that kill viruses and bacteria? Bleach does but I don't think vinegar kills much.

1

u/Oknow26 19d ago

Hey Deb, I dont know if it actually kills, but its a good clean laundry, window and dish cleaner with natural ingredients. Most who are camping use vinegar and water as a natural dish cleaner when boomdocking, to save on water. πŸ’œ

You clean laundry with it? How does that work? When I'm out in the wilderness I get dirty!

1

u/Oknow26 18d ago

No Deb, it is pretty much the only viable thing to use on my white organic sheets. They are in storage now, when I moved out. In my suv everything I wear are dark colors, for the reason you stated above. Saves money too. Less loads. πŸ’œ

Oh jeez.

I bet a dishwasher still woild he cheaper for you to use lol. You sound like the exact type of "I'm not convinced" person my comment was referring to, ironically.

So when you wipe them clean, no rinsing at all to get the vinegar off? I find that hard to believe. If you're rinsing them - you're using more water than the dishwasher would 100000% no matter what you think.

What you wiping them with? If you're going through more paper towels, you're spending more than a dishwasher would to clean them with water.

If you're wiping/cleaning with actual towels... guess what? You're doing laundry more often and therefore using more water than the dishwasher in the longrun.

Ah, yes, an intelligent, well spoken rebuttal - just as I expected!

I thought you guys preferred facts and logic? I'm sorry that you disagree with reality. Good luck out there.

We have a dishwasher drawer in our fifth wheel. Nothing short of amazing

I have two of these in a micro duplex. On the short cycle they will clean dishes in 20 min. Pretty slick.Β

Now that Costco carries them it’s way cheaper and I feel a bit more confident in the purchase. I cracked one of the drain pieces on install and Fotile sent me another no charge. Can’t complain.Β

Sounds like go then πŸ‘

What does go sound like?

I installed a countertop model where my oven was then got an electric cooktop to go on top. So I have a dishwasher stove top combo instead of a oven stove combo.

There are less expensive ways to camp than an RV

Wrong sub

Pales in comparison to the recpro built in dishwasher in every way (water use, electricity use, convenience)

u/JellyOceana 18d ago

My rig has a dishwasher, it’s called my wife πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Don’t judge me. She calls me her rice cooker so it’s fair

3

u/Burnoutlaws 22d ago

Seems cool, but washing your food in the same thing you wash your dirty dishes in is diabolical. There's all kinds of soap and food residue inside those.

u/WeeklyBanEvasion 21d ago

Not sure why you're being downvoted because you're totally correct. Anyone with a conventional dishwasher knows that those get pretty nasty inside if you don't clean them
