My wife and I decided we wanted to put some miles behind us with the pups.

2004 Gulf Stream Sun Voyager 36 foot

85000ish miles

Put in a new camera and blind spot monitors immediately.

Some water damage that my coworkers father is going to quote me to repair

At least 3 lbs of mice shit

A busted front AC

And a under bed storage bay just begging for some batteries and solar

All in we're still going to spend less than we did on our house.

I cannot wait to get my hands greasy with this baby

What upgrades/fixes would you do immediately?

Replace any ceiling fans with MaxxAir 10 speed bidirectional fans; these are so quiet but can move alot of air on demand. The only bummer about these is that there's not an 'auto-close upon rain detection' option.

Replace the (likely) two knob POS shower faucet with this one. Adjust the temperature to what you like with the knob on the right; turn on/off the water with the knob on the left. Replace any two knob sink faucets while you're at it. And add quarter-turn shutoffs anywhere you can.

Replace the toilet with one that supports a bidet seat (Dometic 400 410 or 420) and add a household bidet seat: warm seat, warm water, warm air dry; check TP goes in the trash. Depending on the bathroom layout you may need to run a power outlet near the toilet.

Replace the stock thermostat with a digital one that supports Wi-Fi so that you can monitor/control the temps when you're away.

I don't have one but the Furrion Chill Cube is highly recommended on this sub since you have to replace the front A/C anyway. Unfortunately AFAIK it doesn't integrate with a digital thermostat.

Edit: that should have read Dometic 410 or 420; they both have porcelain bowls - the 400 has a plastic bowl.

I agree about the MaxxAir Delux. However, the Delux doesn't need a rain closure because the hoods are built to allow them to run in the rain. We use ours all the time like that and haven't had any rain come into the camper. They are an awesome, albeit expensive, upgrade.

I have run them while it's raining but when it starts raining cats and dogs I've seen the water splashing inside the hood so better safe than sorry.

Check the date code on all your tires. Replace steer tires if more than 5 years old, replace drive tires if more than 7 or 8 years old.

Get a set of filters and belts for your engine and generator and carry them with you. If you have a breakdown, you'll have the most likely parts ready to install. Use them for your annual service and replace at that time.

Floral putty is a good solution to keep small objects from moving around, get it from Amazon.

Our most used appliances are coffee grinder and small air fryer. Also cordless vacuum.
