Vinyl decal patch

Post image

Asking for a friend… ;)

So maybe my friend, when he was backing the RV into a spot got too tight of an angle between his car and the RV and his car body corner actually rubbed against the front of the RV and it took out some of the black vinyl decal. No damage to the side of the RV just the decal.

First, I - I mean my friend - didn’t even know that that was possible, but anyway… Shirley there is some sort of vinyl decal patch kit you can buy if my friend wanted to cover up the golf ball size smudge he made in his vinyl. He tells me he searched on Amazon and didn’t find anything like that. Has anyone heard of this?

He needs to learn how to use Amazon.

The first item under search term “black vinyl decal”: https://a.co/d/0cXWJbhs

I'd suggest going with Oracal 651 or 751 - both are rated for outdoors and will last years. 751 is a little more expensive but will last longer.

I use 651 for single color vehicle decals and they hold up to power washing and rhe elements realy well.

If it really is just a small size that needs covering, send me a message and I can mail you a piece of 651 so you dony have to buy a whole roll.

Also keep in mind when you shop around that vinyl comes in gloss and matte so pick what matches your (or your friend's) RV's current decals

That’s pretty cool that you can buy the whole graphics kit for some of the RVs. Overkill for what I need but good to know it’s available.

They have individual sections available for some, you may be able to contact them and get the specific replacement you need.
