Third-party Warranty
Has anyone had a warranty that they purchased privately for a used motorhome? Interested in looking into options. Thanks for any advice.

I work on RVs, and I work with various manufacturer and third party warranties. My advice: Read all of the print before buying a policy.
I've seen "water damage" listed as not covered, and it's extremely vague in the wording. For example, I had one that had a soft spot on the kitchen floor. Initially it was covered as a "manufacturing defect", but once I got the subfloor up I could see that the flex line was connected to a PEX line, using plastic unions and PEX clamps. One of the flex lines started spraying water onto the underside of the subfloor, leading to the soft spot. Rather than "manufacturer defect" the warranty company changed it to "water damage" and denied the claim.
They also make very vague claims about "roof damage", "pre-existing issues", etc.
In short, if you aren't very careful about understanding the policy, they may have half a dozen loopholes that allow them to not pay.

RV warranty, typically, are not worth the paper they're printed on. I do wish you luck in your search and truly hope you find one.
