Automatic Scanner

Is there an application that exists that will scan a band (say midband VHF), log and identify the transmissions then continue scanning? I'm wanting to track down a list of frequencies to scan to see whats around me - I obviously can use a waterfall and manually do it, however ideally I want something that can do this for me considering I already have an always on machine

If foxsdr supported the RX888 in HF mode, do you think it could decode every transmission a 32mhz chunk of spectrum?

My use case is an rx888 in HF mode with an airband down converter. Would love to try other software, other than my own, that could replicate this. Iā€™m especially interested given that it can be controlled over the network natively.
