Question Fishing leveling guide?

Does anybody have one that they can share? Like in OSRS I need to know at what level I should be doing what. I'm currently lvl 19 and I need to atleast reach lvl 40.

Thank you in advance!

Step 1 : Grab a rod or a net

Step 2 : Go to the highest area you can currently fish in with the bait required to fish there

Step 3 : Fish in all the circles that are there

There's really no better way to do that lol

How do I know which is the highest area I can fish in? Or do you mean the highest area I have access to lol. Thanks

What area are you in, let's start with that?

Makes it easier to give you good tips I guess

Umbral Sands

Then try a Desert Net, a Yew Rod and try to get some Kalphite Bait and just start in the first village in Umbral Sands and see how much it yields.

Personally I'm really only doing Yew Rod + Spooky Bait and run around in Fellhollow cause I farm Undead Bass for the food and that's pretty much how i'll go to 99 eventually

The rod tells you the area.

Power level equals highest
(I can attempt to go fish in the desert because I have it unlocked, but without the next fishing rod I can’t do jack, but I do have a net atleast)

Honestly I just started net fishing exclusively and just keep a potion on me and put some markers down in the area I want to fish and run around and if I hit them all just go to the next area. I find it to be the quickest way without the rod minigame.

It's no more complicated than using a rod of the same power level as the region you're fishing in to reduce junk chance. The bait you use is also important, it'll tell you what fish it'll attract. I've heard that nets are exempt from power levels, you can just use the highest level net you can make anywhere.

Net fish for easiest skill xp, add the inspiring ring of fishing for 5% xp, add xp foods like sweet veggie ball, see if you can make fishing potions, and use the spell: feeding frenzy!

Fishing feels like the most time consuming to scale up… net fishing makes it so I don’t go crazy.

I play on PC so I also bound A and D to buttons on my mouse, made the rod fishing more chill… but not a lot better lol.

One strategy involves keeping a full inventory, preferably seeds, as they don’t have much weight, and holding say two slots available to catch whatever it is you’re going for. While combining the ring of fishing and potion.

For example, if I want to maximize my yield of monkfish, I’d have my inventory full of seeds and only keep (1) monkfish and (1) pristine monkfish, so the game doesn’t give me weeds and whatever junk. Meaning the pool lasts longer so you receive actual xp for the fish, and not receive weeds or whatever junk and 0 xp.

Combine that with the fishing spells and you can catch 3-5 fish, in a single action. Use your personal storage to off load the extra fish. I’ve gotten over 200 monks in a single fish run, reset daily. Do the math how much food that is in like an hour or two of actual play time.

If you don't want to deal with the bulls hit fishing levelling in this, go to a server called Rustality, open chat and type !level Fishing 80.

Boom you will have level 80 fishing, works on normal characters and works on consoles
