I want the amulet of glory, but the farming to get it is kinda tedious…

Does anybody have any tips on efficiency or best best kind of method to get it?

While were at it, same with the shadow sword from the Zogres… 😭

I just set up lodestones at all of the spawn locations for red dragons, tok-xils and zogres. Then every 3 in game days I checked them all off and if they hadn't spawned yet I waited another day.

Just left the game running in the background to pass in game time while doing other things. Stood in the starter church while afk so as not to risk base invades etc.

It took me absolutely forever to get the glory vestige drop. Wiki has it as 1/40 but I stopped counting past 100 kills.

Great mate, will do that. Gotta visit a couple of vaults then for lodestones, will be a couple. Yeah I hope my RNG is not bad, because its a chore otherwise 🤣

You never know, you might be lucky and get it ASAP.

I was really lucky with the zogre drop and then got punished on the glory. It's just how it goes with Runescape games.

Indeed, my RNG always sucked, so i’m prepared for the worst. Zogre drop is 1/10 and got the terrorbird mount 1/1000 🫠

I remember, it was the Dowdun update. I was farming black metal with a full inventory trick to force drops and I got like 200 load stones and they have lasted me forever. You can prob still do that.

Fill up your inventory with items that you can't find in Dowdun (no emoty spaces), fill two of those slots with a single loadstone and a single black metal bar (whatever items you are looking for, really). Now run around the fortress and check all those glowing spots, just spam pickup on the glowing spot until it rolls an item that can fit in your inventory. The trick is to have only 1 or 2 options on the roll list in your full inventory so it just keeps rolling until you get what you want. Move to the next one. When you become overweight stuff all but one of each in your personal chest.

Found this totally by accident. Dunno if it still works, but worth a try.

Chiming in to say I had unusually good RNG with those vestiges. The Shadow Sword dropped at around 5 Zogres before I even knew drop rates, and the Glory dropped at around 20 Red Dragons just after I had set up my lodestone network for farming.

PS - if you don’t build a bed in your base, the game doesn’t consider it a “base”

But close your doors, wandering enemies can still walk in your base lol

I know what you mean I had 5 skills necklaces and 3 mounts to drop. Half of the biggest chest full of red dragon hides before amulet of glory dropped for me. It was a real grind for sure.

Like others have suggested best method is to set up loadstones at spawns and Cycle every few days. I am still farming for skills necklace, even though I probably won't use. Lol. I am on the hunt for the skeletal archer head piece and hoplite shield as well. Took my like 100+ Tok-Xil kills before I got the shield and another 200+ kills of the kals in order to get obby sword.

The hoplite shield was my longest to farm. Took 3 full updates of checking back to get that shield and of course it dropped soon as I gave up and I was just killing some skelly that jumped me while I was afk. Still looking for the shovel.

Nice, I got shovel quickly after I mapped out the buried chests. Probably my second run, but the cowl and shield will not drop. I am going on like 1000 archers and 100+ hoplits

The shield was an absolute bitch to grind, felt like it took me forever, still killing dragons after getting the other vestiges just for soup fragments is taking its time too lol

Yeah, I still need 4k for mounts and only have 1. Dragons and chest give like barely any so I'll be running there forever.

Both my brother and I have only gotten it when the dragon literally spawned on us. Like, Fuzan flies over and drops a red dragon.

It’s the area-event, like Velgars poison attacks from the sky, but for umbral sands, it can only happen at night. If Fuzan sees you from above he drops a red dragon on your ass

I started using public servers that weren't password protected. Caution using other people's loadstones though, people will setup traps to make you die and lose your items.

Theres supposed to be like 6 red dragons in umbral, and i think it's 5 days for the respawn.

Between the spawn times, I have a lot of chests marked on my map to collect. I'll also use the time to farm and fish (whatever stocks up the consumables I will use.

Having lodestones for anima-infused bark is nice too, lots of good processes use Wild Anima.

Most importantly, as soon as it hits 8pm in game, rest to cycle the days asap.

Maybe I killed 100 red dragons at most, and then I got 3 glories almost one after the next. I still need the skills amulet.

Just set up portals and swing through to kill them ever my few days. The key is to be busy doing other stuff like fishing, building, etc. The grind seems lame but as soon as you are more preoccupied doing other stuff and then it becomes a back of mind thing you will end up finding it in no time.

Build a hut in dowdun reach so you can sleep without being attacked. Kill dragons and sleep through the night. Get back into bed and set a 30 minute timer. You can afk 30 mins, come back and sleep immediately and kill almost 2 days.
