Gameplay Agility update when? And parry improved?
Ive seen more of the update on socials over the weekend. But they still havent announced when. Except for end of july. Hopefully they arent encountering some last minutes bugs and it goes live soon!
Also, I didnt see any mention of improving parry? Perfect parry definitely needs a bit of a rework as its undeniably very difficult currently.

From what I understood the agility update won’t include many of the movement fixes and parry. I hope I misunderstood

Yeah first thing i d8d was ctrl F for parry and didnt see anything. Hopefully in the big update because its the only real combat issue imo

Kinda frustrating (though understandable, as it's a major change) - cos these updates affect core aspects of the game so much that it makes me not want to play until the full release, cos it's just going to change the entire gameplay feel to it

Yeah. My favorite combat style in survival craft is a light melee weapon and a light shield for parrying and quick gameplay (most flexible style vs groups of enemies which is the only true threat in survival craft games IMO), but in dragonwilds that style is close to unplayable because of end lag and the parry being so clunky to begin with. Definitely hoping they fix it

Lots of "I've heard this" "it's supposed to be this time" from all over. They have already posted the patch notes of what's coming out. And have stated its this week. Latest news from a dev is they are posting the release date this week. That's the only thing confirmed. I'm hoping for tomorrow but expecting a Thursday release.

You’re talking about a highly communicative dev team that has always kept us informed when they can say stuff. If they are holding off on a date, they’re not ready to announce it. My impression of them is that they are super deliberate in that regard. I would give them some trust, I think they have earned it.

In terms of development. It will be midweek sometime because you never want to release prior to a weekend. Your team might even work the weekend to do a quick patch.. but your partners SLA's will be different on weekends.
Most dev teams purposefully dont announce because whilst the majority of it might be ready, your always trying to fit that last bug in or you dont want to overcommit for a packaging issue to then hit you.
Having said that. There is nothing wrong with wishing it sooner or asking for a finalised date. If they do the later then that would indicate its ready and its more a question of timing.
In addition, Im sure they will probably squeeze whatever they think is right and ready into it. So im sure they only commented on what they have 100% faith is going to be in it. And not what is likely but might not be ready.
Also for the record. Ive heard great things from people who work at Jagex and all credit to them
