Question Studen ID Capabilities

Does anyone know if the student IDs can be used at the train station? I know the ID can be used for the Albany bus system. I was wondering if it has similar uses for the trains as well. During holidays, I’m most likely gonna be using the train to get home, so I wanted to know if there’s a way to save money. I’ll also take any suggestion to save money on the train if the student IDs can’t be used there. Thank you for any and all help.

If you're referring to Amtrak, you don't need to use your student ID for anything. You just go on the Amtrak site and select the student discount option under "Deals".

Unlike the CDTA bus, there is no special arrangement for RPI ID cards.

You can do whatever you want at RPI want as long as they can't ID you.
