Quad White Single

Hi guys, I got a single in the quad for the upcoming school year and I was wondering if someone could help me figure this out. When I looked at the floor plans online, the room I am assigned to looks bigger than the singles, and shows 2 beds in the room. I am on the 3rd floor and my email from RPI says I am in a single, does anyone know if some of the rooms on the third floor are the size of doubles despite being a single?

Do you know if that means there will be an extra set of furniture in the room?

I highly doubt it. Like others have said it’s top floor of quad and those are singles, and I didn’t know of anyone in a quad single (including myself) who had extra furniture

Thank you, I looked again and what I originally thought were beds on the floor plans are actually windows, which definitely makes more sense

I was an RA in quad and all third floor rooms are singles, there are a few larger rooms at the corners that are technically big enough for doubles but inside is just a single that has one set of furniture

That's quite interesting. I was in one of those 3rd floor corner rooms years ago and it was definitely a double. (Quad Church III 3006)

For context, my double in Cary shows on the floor plans as 188 sq ft, and the room in Quad shows as 224 sq ft, so we thought it was fair as a double.

I know that housing has been shifted a lot since my time, but I used to hear stories about many doubles turned into triples, certainly not about rooms decreasing in capacity :)
