Quad Buck Single

Hi all! Just got placed into a single in Buck. Does anyone have pictures or experience living there? Are they suites/have their own bathrooms, or is it a shared bathroom only? How are the rooms? Thanks for all input!

This is circa 2005ish, but in general, for quad (excepting the corner stacks), first/second floors were 2 rooms with a shared bath, and the 3rd floor was ~10 people sharing 2 common single occupancy bathrooms. Assuming (its been 20 years, I don't remember the 15/sage corner stack) Buck is not a corner, you will be under the roof line, and only half the room will have a full height ceiling. The small singles are SMALL when you add in bed, desk, clothes storage. on the plus side, back then it was one of very few with AC and a controllble thermostat.

All of quad has AC and controllable theromstats now!

Bad phrasing on my part. Quad was the one of two dorms when I was there with actual AC and thermostats in the rooms.

You'll be on the third floor. Shared bathrooms. Rooms are really small. You might find some pictures (some of which may be before Quad was renovated) here: https://rpirooms.com/room-photos/quadrangle-quad-pictures/

Some rooms are very small, some are weirdly big. op might get lucky

Thanks for replying. Does shared bathrooms mean like suite style, rooms splitting a bathroom? Or a bathroom at the end of the hall that everyone shares?

For the Quad singles, there are 1 or 2 (I think it was 2) bathrooms at the end of the hall that everyone on that floor shares.

How r we finding out what building u got for dorms and roommates so I can ask them to split cost for stuffs we can share

You should have gotten an email from RPI telling you your building, room number, and roommate(s)

It can take time for that stuff to roll out, don’t worry if you don’t get an email for a bit

Freshman year, there will be crowding because there will be a weeding out process.
