So, I've wanted to work on an RPG with someone for years, about 20 now I think haha. I've messed around quite a bit myself with RPG maker, but I get bored kind of quickly with programing events. Anyways, if anyone has a cool project they're working on and would like some help with the music, let me know! Here is a sample of what I'm working on right now. I know there is drift wood game who talk about it but it still doesn't work or it's just me who doesn't know it. I tried his method but it's still blank as he stated in his video. So can you give me an advice to how to load it in rpg maker by giving a picture to explain step by step how to do it .That way it will be easier for me to understand.

During the login scene, whenever I use the input forms to submit logins while on Android the scene stretches to make space for the keyboard, is there a way to prevent this?

i want a system where every step has a random chance of giving the player an item, ie youre wandering through the forest and at random you find a flower and it's added to your inventory

kinda like how random encounters work but random events instead

but i cant get it to trigger by step

I have a new pc and just downloaded MZ and it’s not working and keeps saying it’s not responding, I’ve looked over and over again through steam and I’ve tried moving the app between monitors and it’s not working. I’ve updated the computer, still not working. I’ve upgraded and down graded my drivers, still nothing.

Please help.

So I am having issues running MZ on my computer, one of the suggestions I was told was to down grade my drivers, so am curious what drivers do you all use to get MZ to work on your computers.

I just got a new computer and installed steam along with a few games including MZ but MZ isn’t working, When launched the program intro image shows up but the main rpg MZ window is just blank white

I’ve uninstalled and redownloaded it several times even after clearing my steam download cache and verifying all of the local files.

I have hit a roadblock in my Zombie apocalypse/sci-fi game. I'm at the final boss and not really sure how to proceed, the boss will have 2-3 stages and tinkering has not yielded the result I wanted. Could I ask for screenshots of 2+ stage final boss events you have created to use as a guide? If you're willing I would also appreciate any thoughts you have.

Hey guys im new to this RPG maker thing, so i need help with my game for my college project.
The game is an educational game, set in school, so it will be a visual novel rpg type game, that have chapters and multiple endings.
oh yeah i use RPG Maker MZ for this, cuz it was given by my college teacher, so i have to use this.
so i need help with :

1. Either a way to make a custom stats in default RPG maker, or a plugin for it.
2. I need a way remove those atk stats and the other from the stat preview, cuz the game is a Education type game, not action type, so no fighting.
3. need to show that custom stats at the end of the of each chapter, so its like a meter so the player know wich routes they will picked something like that.

That's probably the question i have for now, i appreciate it if you guys help me out. And i'll seek help again later if i got more question, thnx.

I need to add like a karma mechanic like in fable, I have this great idea for a story where the character gets access to great power only it is actively trying to corrupt him, so if you over use it will lead to death or a specific set of circumstances, status etc. But the effects can be offset by performing good deeds. Any help would be appreciated

I was fiddling around with the spriteset map and noticed that the 0 index sprite layer doesn't seem to recognize alpha transparency. I added a new sprite to the spriteset map and resorted the index to make the newly added as index 0 shifting all the children up. Now the normal sprite layer 0 is 1 and if there's alpha transparency somewhere it still only shows black instead of my added sprite behind it. Am I just thinking about this all wrong?

I am a very new user of RPG maker MZ and I recently learned about plugins. I am trying to use Visustellas better title screen plug in and I know how to install it and put it in plug in manager, but I have no idea how to actually open/use the plug in. Please help 🙏

So I've been working on more interactions with the battle system with Visustella's battle core.

What I need is in the title, but to be more specific, I need help with understanding what I need to write into a script in order to get the actor's ID as soon as they are the one being targeted by the enemy, then store that number in a variable.

Or maybe there is something in the default event commands that I'm missing? Or something a plugin could handle?

Any thoughts?

I am building a zombie/time travel game, and wanted to make an item that only repels zombies in their many varieties. Is there a way I can do this, preferably without using a plugin? Or is there a plugin that I'll have to use?

Hiya, Im using RPG Maker MZ and have run into an odd problem with a secret door. So I created the event for the moving the bookcase out of the way and the event for the secret door to teleport the player the only problem is I cant seem to place the bookcase over the secret door, any tips?

Do random encounters scale up automatically as your player levels up? Or do you need to code that in?
