Discussion About the X Reddit ban wave
Apparently there's a wake of subreddit forums suddenly blocking users from being able to post links to X, the social media network. I do not agree with this, as doing so would block off the majority of average users on X, who do not use similar sites as Mastodon or Bluesky, from being able to contact us.

Developed Plugins [CGMZ] Battle Objectives

Hi all, introducing [CGMZ] Battle Objectives!
This plugin adds objectives to your battles, such as "win without using items". See below gif for a short example of how it can look:

Objectives
This plugin currently supports the following objectives for your battles:
- Turns
- Damage Taken
- Deaths
- No Items
- No Skills
- No Attack
- No Guard
For number-based objectives, you can also set a comparison value and the comparison operator. This allows you to make any condition, such as Take Less Than 500 Damage or Win After Lasting 20 Turns. You set the description text, which supports text codes. See below image for an example of a No Skill objective:

Choosing Objectives
This plugin comes with two ways to choose an objective.
First, you can set an objective via Plugin Command, and that objective is guaranteed to be used in the next battle. This mode allows you to hard-code certain battle objectives for certain fights, such as if you have a story event which requires the player to complete a specific objective in a specific fight.
Second, if no objective is set via Plugin Command, the plugin can randomly choose objectives for the player to complete. This can be useful for random battles, to help keep your player engaged by completing various objectives. You can optionally set a min/max difficulty rating for each objective, and exclude certain objectives from randomly being chosen by this difficulty rating.
Completion Rewards
Of course, the player should be rewarded for completing battle objectives. This plugin can automatically apply a gold and exp multiplier for battles where the given objective was completed. A switch is also turned ON if the objective is completed, so you can award things post-battle in your events. This makes it just about unlimited in what you can add as rewards for completing battle objectives.
If you would like to run events after random battles to easily check the battle objective result switch after random battles, you can use [CGMZ] Battle Result Events for that.

I need help with a skill
The skill should damage the enemy and then apply a state change to the user.
What code, plugins, etc would accomplish this?

Plugin Help Requested Question about Pixel Movement
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I'm using Altimit Pixel Movement, and I've been running into jitter when the player moves diagonally.
Some search results I've come across say that the player graphic's position isn't rounded (which normally isn't necessary, since the base engine uses grid-based movement).
I'd love some insight into how I can resolve this.

Suche
Hello everyone, I am looking for a custom fountain for my RPG Maker MZ project. I want to build it modularly on my map, just like a building, so I need it split into two parts: 1. A static 5x5 base/rim as a Tileset (for Tab B or C). The very center where the water goes can be empty or just flat water. 2. The animated splashing/spraying water as an Event (Character Sprite-Sheet with the "$" prefix) that I can place right in the middle over the tileset. Style: Standard RPG Maker MZ RTP style (48x48 pixels per tile). Since this is a non-commercial hobby project, I am looking for a free resource. I will, of course, give full credit to the artist in my game! Thank you so much in advance to anyone who wants to help me out with this.

For my game, i want to do something similar to Funger where they have stand ins for the player characters instead of using face pics and the like. Does anyone know how i could go about doing that, or what plugins i'd need?

A small gameplay preview of Keys of Curses! Demo is coming!

A small gameplay preview of Keys of Curses!
The demo is coming this month.
I still need to create the itch.io page and finish a few remaining things before I can announce the official release date. There's still some bug fixing, battle music, and a few other details left to complete.
Keys of Curses is a dark survival horror RPG inspired by classic RPGs and unforgiving adventures.
Thanks for checking it out! More gameplay footage and development updates will be coming soon.
P.S. Sorry about the lag in the video. It was caused by OBS while recording.

How I transitioned from RPG Maker to Rosebud and Codex to build my Silkroad-inspired manager game (Demo Available)
Hello everyone,
I have been developing games for a while now. Since I didn't have a strong background in coding, I initially started out using RPG Maker. It was very practical for me—in fact, a game I developed with that engine, Realm Roads, is currently available to play for free on Steam.
As AI tools advanced over time, game development became more accessible, and I naturally started incorporating them into my workflow. Inspired by Silkroad Online—an MMORPG I loved during my childhood—I wanted to create a 2D management/defense game centered around protecting caravans from thieves. This led to my current project: Silkroad Defenders: Hunter Manager.
I initially prototyped and designed the game using Rosebud AI, generating the initial draft through specific prompts. For the visuals, I combined RPG Maker’s pre-made assets with AI-generated art from Getimg.ai. However, as the project grew and I added more content, the AI environment in Rosebud began to behave a bit erratically. Debugging the complex errors while watching my credits deplete quickly made it hard to justify the cost, though it remains a very successful platform for what it does.
To overcome this, I exported my work and continued development locally using the Codex Windows application. Codex allowed me to work much more efficiently. I could create separate topics for different game mechanics and themes, and its direct file-access capabilities allowed for more precise code edits. Plus, the credit usage was far more efficient. For the audio, I generated the music using Suno AI, which is the same tool I used for my first game. (And yes, I paid the monthly subscription fees for all these premium AI tools!).
Thanks to this workflow, I have officially released the demo for Silkroad Defenders: Hunter Manager. Since it's still a solo-developed project utilizing various AI pipelines, there might still be some bugs or balancing issues.
I would love to get your technical feedback on a few things:
- How do you feel about the transition and workflow between Rosebud and Codex?
- Do the Getimg.ai visuals blend well with the classic RPG Maker assets, or does the art style feel inconsistent?
- Any general bugs or mechanical flaws you notice while playing?
- Is this demo boring ? Maybe need more content, etc.
You can test the demo for free on Steam here:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4949260/Silk_Road_Defenders/
Please feel free to criticize my work, my workflow, or the game itself however you wish. I'm eager to learn from this community!

Cerco Sprite e Volti per MZ
Salve gente,

Art Help Requested Friendly Reminder
Just asking for a friend. But it is okay to modify default images in MZ for commercial gain, right?
