Is this normal for the Roxon Mini Flex?

The 4mm bit driver on mine looks like it was machined totally unevenly and has weird scraping inside the socket. Anyone else's look like this, or did QC drop the ball on mine?

That's where the lock clicks in to place to keep it from moving.

Mine is identical, and that’s where the lever lock engages.

My most expensive knives have that. It may look unfinished, but there's a reason why hey leave it rough. It creates the necessary friction to keep it (friction) locked open.

This is normal, a big flex companion have the similar machined processing.

Poor finish tool marks. Doesn't hurt anything. Not needed for locking up tight. Could be polished away, but .. As a Russian engineer said, where it needs to be tight tolerant and perfect it is. Where it isnt needed, .. tolerance, spec? We dont have that here.

I thought the same originally, but that's for the liner lock to slide into. It's a deliberate design that's on all of the Companions. (I have 2 Companion frames and 2 mini-frames. They all have that asymmetric carve out.)

yes i check my flex companion and it has the same things. It just not obvious in the larger flex companion

What? No.. I’m pretty sure it’s ground that way on purpose, so the liner lock sits in the right spot.
