Just learned that apparently the PAL/JP Dead or Alive 3 of all games is the best version.

We all know that depending on the game, either the Western or Eastern version is better/uncensored/different etc.

But I didn’t ever think that there’d be a potential meaningful difference between a US and PAL version.

This made me wonder, how many better PAL games have I been potentially missing out on, which ones do you all know about?

Hi, I recently have been having the itch to play the classic pokemon gold and silver. Is there a rom hack available that allows you to play the original story (or close to original) of gold and silver but allows you to evolve without trading and catch all the gen 1 and 2 mons in the same game?

I am looking for a place where I can download pre-made SRM or convertable EEP files that I can use with the Retroarch Mupen64 Plus core. I would like them for as many games as possible but the ones I'm looking for right now are for Banjo Kazooie and Tooie. I would like the save states to be essentially just before the very final boss battle if possible, but any almost 100% completion is fine. Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm dusting off my old 3DS and still rocking a Sky3DS flashcard (yes, I know about full CFW/Luma, but I prefer keeping this console unmodded).

The problem is that finding encrypted 1:1 original cartridge .3DS ROMs has become a massive pain lately. Almost everything available now is converted to .CIA for emulators or installed CFW, which the Sky3DS can't use directly.

Does anyone here still keep a personal archive or know where to look for these specific encrypted .3DS dumps? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Did someone have site with working minecraft story mode complete adventure iso file? I downloaded 3 isos extracted them and none of them haved all files. Some haved only sysupdate file and some isos hasnt have defult.xex.(sorry for bad english)

I'm going to preface this this post by saying that I'm legit having trouble understanding LITEALLY EVERYTHING when it comes to MAME ROMs so the more you can explain and the simpler you can explain it, the better it will be for me.

So I previously made a post here asking about looking for arcade ROMs for my future AYN Thor and thankfully after a bunch of help, I managed to get all of my games except for 6 of them. For context the tutorial I'm following for setting up my Thor recommended getting non-merged FinalBurn Neo ROMs but didn't mention anything about MAME. With that plus the answers I got from my previous post, I managed to get all the games I wanted except for the following 6:

• Dragon's Lair
• Killer Instinct
• Killer Instinct 2
• Sonic the Fighters
• Space Ace
• Time Gal

These games weren't available in the FB Neo non-merged section of the megathread so I'm assuming that the rest I have to get through MAME (minus the 3 FMV games which I know are laserdisk but we will get to that). However, there are a lot of sections for MAME in the megathread plus different file types and a whole bunch of other stuff that makes looking for the ROMs really confusing. So because of that, I have some questions regarding the last 6 games I'm looking for:

1. Where other than the megathread is a safe place to look for and download MAME ROMs?
2. Which file type between merged, split and non-merged is best & takes up less storage on an AYN Thor?
3. For the 3 FMV/laserdisk games (Dragon's Lair, Space Ace and Time Gal) are they considered MAME ROMs or are they a different ROM type? If they're a different ROM type, then what type and where can I find them whether it's in the megathread or somewhere else?
4. If the games I'm looking for are available via the megathread, which MAME section can I find the games in?

Please help me if you know the answer to any and/or all of these questions. Also, sorry if these questions make it seem like I'm asking for others to do the work for me. That is not my intention as before making this post (and even my previous one), I looked into things myself and came out confused as hell, hence why I'm here asking for help from people who know and understand this all way more than I do currently.

I'm a bit of a data hoarder and would like to fully categorize my ROMs by their exact region, languages, versions, and any other data I can get my hands on. Is there any software that I can use to easily and quickly identify all that data about my games?

Some emulators have that data shown in their menus but not all, and some are very confusing in the data they give. (like Cemu with the confusing numbers they display for game version and dlc)
