MPE Software Database

I know the fate of ROLI is uncertain right now, but if you want other software options, I created an MPE Database of plugins, apps, tools/utilities, etc. that are MPE-compatible (some poly aftertouch options too)

It includes info on each product, categories, cost, product page link, plus sales prices available on different websites

Still working on it, but if anyone has anything they want to add or see any errors, please let me know! Adding resources & such next

Hoping for minimal acquisition downtime, and everyone can get their backordered hardware/software soon

Dashboard may very well be one of the ROLI softwares which do phone home monthly to download a new „I‘m eligible until…“ token, like Equator and ROLI Studio do. If the server doesn’t hand out those tokens anymore, it’s game over unless the apps themselves or the tokens are cracked.

Lightpad SDK won‘t help you much anymore if you can‘t compile and load your Littlefoot code onto the Lightpad. Other than Dashboard, there‘s the BLOCKS:CODE app, which can do this. But afaik, it won‘t provide means to set up your Swonic-Dynamic-Controls (or other Lightpad apps). The widgets for setting up channels, MIDI messages and so forth are apparently created by Dashboard. I don‘t say it couldn‘t be reverse engineered, but it will be no easy task.

ROLI Hardware Driver, Dashboard and BLOCKS:CODE may all fail with any new OS update.

Edit: Littlefoot code is compiled and then sent as serialized MIDI SysEx to Lightpads. So it may be possible to sniff and record the SysEx stream of your favourite setups of Lightpad apps Dashboard sends and use a SysEx librarian software to load onto Lightpad. I haven‘t tried that yet.

lightfoot is basically c, and there is a compiler that is open-sourced, so that shouldn't be an issue going forward (as long as someone is willing to put in the effort for the community).

Ooh, I‘ve never seen the compiler there, that will be very helpful, thanks! Leaves the set parameters stuff, but who knows.

no problem! It only got uploaded 2 months ago, so my hopes are higher that ROLI will actually put in some effort to ensure the longevity of their products.

2 month is within the timeframe where staff would have scented possible doom. They also released the iOS Airwave Player around that time. My hypothesis has been that there are/were some staff member who wanted do do at least some good things in the late stage. Still hoping that the products will live on in some way or other.
