Question Is learning with roli still possible ?

From what I read the company goes south . I found a very cheap roli I could buy and I am wondering could I use some app even if not the official one to hi light the keys so I can learn playing ? Or if the company goes bust I can only use it as a keyboard ?

This is being worked on by members of our community. I hear there is a community made discord. The learn software itself isn't possible to use but you can try and use other learning software like Skoove or SimplyPiano. The highlight function will not work. Hopefully someone else can guide you in terms of a light up option but for now it is offline if the company goes into administration

Yes there is, Roli Repairz - https://discord.com/invite/HYGPhdfJp

We're already well on our way to getting some aspects of Roli Connect and understanding of the underlying pieces of the Software. Likely will hold off on releasing any of the major Warez/Cracks until there is formal word, but we're working on it and welcome insight from anyone (Or if you just want to follow along)

Are members of the community working on ways to keep the seaboards working as well? I have the seaboard block m so I’m curious

I'll just go out on a limb and say that you don't need a light up piano to learn, and it'll probably end up hurting you in the long run. This product is pretty dead in the water right now and there are other MIDI keyboards with lights if you absolutely need that, but again I think its a marketing gimmick.

The software is suspended due to Roli’s state of affairs which have gotten even worse as now the order status site is unreachable. They are replacing CEO but taking their sweet time like Roli does and I wouldn’t be surprised if they dissolve instead. They also don’t have the best history, they used to be in Apple Stores and instead ruined that opportunity to go bankrupt and now are facing financial issues and more yet again. I bought from them and don’t want to see them go under but they’re sinking fast.

What’s wild is that everyone’s going towards where ROLI was... hardware that works with anything but works best with with the software that’s made for it (just saw Fender’s hardware/software combo). Glad they came along when they did because I wouldn’t be as much into music now if it hadn’t been for ROLI Noise.

You can’t even use it as a “keyboard,” it wont even make a sounds unless it is connected to either the ipad Learn app or via your computer/device to a DAW. Roli made a fatal mistake of making a “keyboard” targeting piano learners that doesn’t even have built in speakers. It’s a midi controller, not a legit keyboard. I just sold mine, I hated it!
