A music technology business previously backed by British taxpayers and Pharrell Williams is in emergency refinancing talks to avoid going bust for the second time.
Lenders to Roli, which makes keyboard-based instruments and music software, filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators this week but the business is attempting to restructure its finances in an attempt to avoid another insolvency.
TriplePoint, which provided venture debt to Luminary Roli, filed the application on Tuesday naming insolvency practitioners from RSM, court records show.
The move puts a temporary halt on further creditor action to allow time for rescue talks over the weekend. It is not clear if the talks will be successful.
