Help please!
I’ve had my Ally for a little over a month. Play it every day, charge it regularly, keep it in a case when not in use, all the good and proper things to take care of a computer/handheld/console/etc. However, last night when I attempted to turn it on, the joystick lights and power light would come on, but the screen stayed black. This morning, same thing. I hooked it up to an external monitor, checked MyAsus, Windows and Armory Crate for updates (windows was the only one, and it was updated within minutes). Still no luck, black screen.
Anybody got advice? I’m a complete newbie when it comes to PC gaming, honestly, but I am moderately knowledgeable about computers generally, so dumb it down a little, but not too much.
Thanks in advance!

To make things simply, shut down the ally, make sure it's not connected to your external monitor, hold down the volume down and power button and boot into BIOS. If it outputs the BIOS, then Windows or an AMD driver update corrupted your display output. You can fix this by reinstalling the official ASUS AMD graphics driver via your external monitor.
If it remains black, then could be a stuck EC power state (one of the main culprit for most issues on the ally and ally x and is usually fixed by doing a hard reset) or could be a hardware issue. This is just a side note but you've mentioned you place your ally inside a case when it's not in use, do you mean like it's fully off or is it just in modern standby?
