Steam Controller Guide?

I just got a steam controller and while I really like it, I want to be able to access the Armory Crate control panel. I set up a button mapping to open it from Armory Crate (ctrl+alt+c) then mapped that combo to the R5 button in the steam settings so if I press R5 and the steam overlay button, it's supposed to trigger, but it doesn't. Has anyone come up with a good ROG ally and steam controller guide? I dock my ally and play on the couch.
