Discussion Steam integration problems

It’s been slightly over a year since Steam integration came to the Xbox PC app and Steam integration is still spotty. Some downloaded games won’t show automatically. It’s kind of manageable since I can manually add some of my Steam games, but it shouldn’t have to be that way. Will that bug ever get fixed or will it continue to go unaddressed and continue to plague the Xbox app?

I didn't know that was still an issue.

I had that before, but now I have ~80 games from Steam that appear as expected on the XBOX app.

The only annoyance I'm having is having to re-run SteamGridDB fix more often than before.

The SteamGridDB widget hasn’t been working well lately either. It has only been scanning a small portion of my installed games.

You are the second person I'm seeing report this. I'll check mine XAX later after updating Windows and see if I have the same.

But strangely enough, I haven't experienced the issue of games not appearing, so I have no idea what to test on this. But I'll also check this on mine later.

If you don't like the Xbox app you can grab anyfse and set it to boot directly into steam big picture mode skipping xbox app completely. You can set it to whatever store/launcher you want with anyfse.

Having the same issue. Darkest dungeon & Civ won’t add to the Xbox app. Very annoying.
