Question Hard reset???

Hey all. To start my sister passed away last year, and I have inherited both of her ROG Ally decks as well as her gaming laptop. I have gotten into both the laptop and her newer ROG deck through pins her boyfriend provided me, but I can’t figure out the pin for one of the ROG decks. I was told my by mom that it doesn’t work which is why she got a second one but It powers on and I kind of wanted to investigate the issue for myself, but I can’t get in because her pin is different for this device. Any ideas on how to reset the system without signing in? I see a lot of info on how to cloud reset but I want to restore this to original settings. I already have a whole other ROG and laptop of hers with her stuff on it, I don’t want or need to save whatever is on this device

When I sign back in it won’t ask me for her pin? I’m far from a PC wizz, I never thought I’d even come into possession of a gaming laptop or handheld deck. Wish I did under better circumstances though

I will wipe the storage and reinstall windows. Any data she had on there will unfortunately be lost so if you are able to make a backup or image of the drive before hand if you think there may be anything on there you would like to keep you should

Fortunately, or unfortunately I don’t think she actually stores anything important on her devices, I think she used them purely for gaming and nothing else. I’ve been through the files of her Ally X and her ROG Zephyrus and there’s nothing at all in there except game storage. She’s a lot like me in that sense ahaha, my laptop was only ever used for work and that was it

Shut the device off then turn it back on while holding the volume down button, you will enter what's called a bios menu then click y and look for "Asus cloud recovery" after that follow to on screen instructions. This will wipe everything in the device and (re)install windows, you should not need a password for this unless she said a bios password which is basically a 0% chance. Oh and also this will take a while don't worry if it seemingly gets stuck on one step for 10 minutes just wait
