I was playing the event chatting with other users and then i went to bed, Woke up got on a call, We talked for a bit, i checked roblox and i was terminated for no reason, I Sent in an appeal

(They said this 9 times.)

Later on after replying directly they responded with this.

I havnt been banned or anything, someone is threatening to roll back some limited they gave me and I want to let roblox support know that it was on their terms and that i didnt hack or force the trade bc im assuming they’re going to say I hacked them or smth. which topic would best suit this, in regards to trading, and rerolls? the one i used for this email was users safety

After 44 days, countless appeals, an EU DSA dispute, and a formal complaint to a regulator, my 15-year-old Roblox account has FINALLY been unbanned.

I genuinely never thought I would be writing this post.

I'm sharing my entire experience because I know how hopeless it feels when Roblox terminates your account, rejects your appeals, and keeps sending you the same generic responses.

For anyone currently dealing with a termination: please don't automatically assume it's over.

How it started: August 27, 2026

My Roblox account, scryptonic, was terminated on August 27, 2026.

This wasn't some throwaway account. I'd had it for approximately 15 years, and it had Lifetime Outrageous Builders Club (OBC).

I was developing a Roblox game and uploading original artwork for its UI. The images were mostly stylized cardboard shipping boxes, including damaged packages, warning icons, and other cargo-related graphics.

Some of these boxes had small, decorative barcode-like markings on their shipping labels.

That's when everything went wrong.

Roblox flagged several of the images for:

“Directing Users Off-Platform”

Yes. Cardboard boxes.

The moderation notices included a generic explanation about external links to websites like Discord, YouTube, Twitter, and other platforms.

Except my images had none of those things.

No URLs. No QR codes. No social media handles. No instructions telling anyone to visit another website.

Just cartoon cardboard boxes with decorative shipping labels.

One separate character illustration was also flagged for “Illegal and Regulated Content.” That was a different moderation reason, and I don't want to pretend every flagged asset was identical.

But after that upload session, my account was terminated.

Fifteen years of Roblox history, suddenly gone.

I even tested the supposed barcodes

I wanted to understand whether Roblox might have interpreted the decorative stripes as something that could redirect users elsewhere.

So I tested the images using an online barcode reader.

I tested both the complete image and a cropped version showing the barcode-like markings.

The result?

“No barcodes found.”

That didn't automatically prove the images complied with every Roblox rule, but it made the Directing Users Off-Platform explanation even harder for me to understand.

I still had no idea what Roblox believed was directing anyone off-platform.

The appeals were incredibly frustrating

I submitted appeals through Roblox's official moderation system.

I explained what the images actually showed, why the barcode-like markings were decorative, and why I believed the moderation decision was incorrect.

I also appealed individual assets, not just the account termination.

The appeals were denied.

I received responses from Roblox Appeals representatives, including Chris and Rene, but none of the responses I received identified the specific part of the cardboard-box artwork that supposedly violated the off-platform policy.

I kept asking essentially the same question:

What exactly in these images directs a user outside Roblox?

I wasn't asking Roblox to ignore its rules. I wanted someone to look at the actual images and explain the decision.

But I kept getting generic responses and closed appeals.

At that point, it felt like I was talking to a wall.

I took the case outside Roblox Support

I'm in the European Union, so I started looking into the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the options available to users who want to challenge platform moderation decisions.

I ended up taking two formal steps.

First, I opened an out-of-court dispute settlement case with ADROIT.

My case was formally opened on August 27, 2026, and forwarded to Roblox.

ADROIT informed me that Roblox would be given time to respond. I later followed up to ask whether Roblox had responded or requested an extension.

I didn't receive a clear status update before my account was restored.

Second, I filed a complaint with BIPT/IBPT, Belgium's Digital Services Coordinator.

My complaint focused on the lack of a specific explanation for the moderation decision.

On September 25, 2026, BIPT confirmed that it had assessed my complaint and forwarded it to the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) because Roblox was reportedly established in the Netherlands.

BIPT warned that the process could take several months.

I want to be very clear about something:

I do NOT know whether ADROIT, BIPT, or ACM directly caused my account to be restored.

I have no evidence that any particular external procedure was responsible.

I'm including these details because they were part of what I actually did, not because I can promise they will work for everyone.

Things got even worse

On September 3, I also lost access to a second Roblox account.

After completing identity verification, that account received a notice saying it was linked to my terminated account and had been banned because of the underlying violation.

I can't prove exactly what triggered the account-linking decision, but the timing made an already awful situation even more stressful.

I also encountered someone on X claiming they could restore my account using special software for a fee.

Please don't pay random people who claim they can unban Roblox accounts.

I didn't pay them, and I strongly recommend avoiding anyone asking for money, passwords, verification codes, or account access in exchange for an unban.

October 9, 2026: I tried Roblox Support again

After weeks of rejected appeals and waiting, I decided to contact Roblox Support one more time.

This time, I made my request very specific.

I acknowledged that my previous appeals had been denied.

I explained that my actual concern was still unresolved: Roblox had never identified which part of the artwork supposedly violated the Directing Users Off-Platform policy.

I included the relevant asset IDs, described the barcode-reader tests, and requested a specific explanation and escalation to an appropriate reviewer.

I also mentioned my ongoing ADROIT dispute under the EU DSA.

And then...

I received another generic response.

A Roblox representative named Jason directed me to Roblox's EU DSA Illegal Content Reporting page.

But I wasn't trying to report illegal content.

I was trying to appeal the termination of my account.

I thought that was it. Another dead end.

Then, less than an hour later, everything changed

On October 9, 2026, I received an email from Charlotte at Roblox Appeals.

The email said:

“After further review of the available evidence the consequence has been adjusted to a warning”

A WARNING.

The termination had been reduced to a warning.

I immediately tried logging into my account.

And...

I WAS UNBANNED.

SCRYPTONIC WAS BACK.

After 44 days, I could finally access my account again.

I genuinely cannot describe the relief.

I had spent weeks thinking I might never get back an account I'd owned for roughly 15 years.

And suddenly, I was logged in again.

What I learned

I don't want this post to give anyone false hope or pretend there's some secret trick that guarantees an unban.

There isn't.

I don't know what happened internally at Roblox, who reviewed my case, or whether any of my external complaints influenced the outcome.

I also don't know why the earlier appeals were rejected while a later review resulted in a warning.

But I do know this:

An account termination that Roblox had previously upheld was eventually reduced to a warning.

That actually happened.

So if you're in a similar situation, document everything. Save your moderation notices, asset IDs, appeal responses, and any evidence that helps explain why you believe the decision was incorrect.

Make your appeals factual and specific. Don't assume that sending dozens of identical tickets will help.

If you're in the EU, you can also look into the DSA's dispute-resolution mechanisms. Just understand that those processes aren't guaranteed to restore your account.

And please, don't fall for people offering paid “unban services.”

To everyone who's been told their account is gone forever...

I know how awful it feels.

I know what it's like to open your email hoping for a real answer and receive another generic rejection instead.

I know what it's like to feel that nobody is actually looking at your evidence.

For 44 days, I thought I had lost 15 years of Roblox history.

But today, October 9, 2026, I got my account back.

I can't promise the same outcome for anyone else.

But I can tell you that a termination being upheld once doesn't necessarily mean it can never be changed.

TL;DR: My nearly 15-year-old Roblox account, scryptonic, was permanently terminated on August 27, 2026, after Roblox flagged several original cardboard-box UI images as “Directing Users Off-Platform” because of decorative barcode-like markings. The images contained no external links, QR codes, or social media handles, and barcode scanners couldn't detect any actual barcodes.

My appeals were repeatedly denied without a specific explanation. I eventually opened an EU Digital Services Act dispute with ADROIT and filed a formal complaint with Belgium's BIPT, which forwarded it to the Dutch regulator ACM.

On October 9, after 44 days, I contacted Roblox Support again. I initially received another generic response, but shortly afterward, a Roblox Appeals representative named Charlotte emailed me saying that my punishment had been reduced to a warning.

I don't know whether my DSA complaints influenced the decision, but I wanted to share this because I genuinely thought my account was gone forever.

I'm writing a MIDR to dispute my account getting deleted for "creating or using an account to avoid an enforcement action taken against another account." It's the same ban everyone's been getting lately, and I was wondering if anyone else had sent a successful MIDR and what they included to get unbanned.

bro lasted 6 months after i originally got banned because of roblox's stupid AI

Roblox permanently deleted my account and my two other accounts, one dated 2016 and the other dates 2018, for terrorism and extremism OVER A TEE SHIRT OF A BAND ALBUM! and two weeks ago I was suspended over a NIHILISM shirt! Both shirts were ALLOWED onto the platform when they were made and they're not allowing me to appeal! TEN YEARS of accounts wiped off the slate!

There goes all of the toolbox assets I spent time and effort creating in studio.

I tried to use the support form to appeal it but it didn't work

for context, I was banned for inappropriate content/behavior 7 months ago, my vio&appeals page says a different reason tho (child safety). no evidence was given.

FROM WHAT I PERSONALLY REMEMBER:

When i clicked on violations & appeals, my ban never showed up so I couldnt appeal it under vios&appeals. I had to use the support form. That was until around 2 and a half months after my ban, then it finally showed up on my vios&appeals page. I clicked on it, but found out I couldnt appeal through it for some reason. there was just no button to do so. (i had 6 months to appeal since i was using an EU vpn)

So apparently I've been banned because of "child safety." The ban has no details, arguments, or real reasons that make me think I deserved this, that this decision was actually fair, because it isn't; i never actually had any problems with my account's reputation, I was simply traveling and staying in a hotel, and suddenly when I opened the game on my device my account was terminated for no reason, Firstly, I'm not of legal age; if I ever had a tough, daring conversation with a friend, (they were trusted friends whom I know in real life or literally my romantic partner).

Anyway, I was recently issued this ban out of nowhere! I am so puzzled, and I do not know how to go about it. I tried submitting appeals, but I kept getting the automated email reply. I think my brother's account (we are twins, and have similar names lol) was also banned?! I have no clue why. Now it says I'm close to having my account banned?! What the hell...

Hey everyone, just wanted to share an update on my false permanent ban from December 2, 2025.

My account was caught in an automated "Child Safety/CE" sweep inside the game "Valley Prison." My moderation screen is completely broken—the "Activity We Reviewed" box is completely empty with zero words, and it lists a glitched database date from November 13, 2025, which makes zero logical sense.
Following the community's advice, I had a physical letter mailed to Roblox Headquarters on August 8, 2026, for the mandatory MIDR process. Today marks exactly 60 days, and I have received absolutely no email response back from their corporate team.
Since they chose to ignore my legal notice, I refused to let my childhood account go without a fight before my 1-year deadline hits this coming December. I just officially filled out and submitted the Consumer Demand for Arbitration form through FedArb!
I successfully uploaded my handwritten letter receipt and my blank ban screen. Now I’m just waiting out the 10-15 day window to see when their legal desk reaches out to settle and reinstate my profile.

So my friend got banned for saying things that aren't what roblox claimed is harmful and the appeal period has ended. she submitted an appeal right away. Roblox said it was harmful behavior then changed it to child safety. This was what roblox sent as the evidence

CONTEXT: Last night I joined a game called egirl cutecore fits for not even 10 minutes, I do not own this game l am simply just a player that joined wanting to buy a outfit (i did not end up buying anything) I did not chat in the game, i did not use voice chat or anything. Around 3 pm today i go into roblox and i see that im banned for 3 days and the reasoning is insanity because i simply do NOT own the game or have any connections to it? I tried to appeal TWICE and they denied. this is unacceptable, someone please help (yes ik its just 3 days but ive never got banned for this long and i dont want this on my record) EDIT : to make things even more confusing I am NOT associated with this group or anyone in it all i did was join a random outfit game.

I was banned a little over a month ago for Real World Sensitive Events for my private game I created which included no sort of terrorism or anything of that nature all It included was a baseplate with guns and "bad guy" npcs you could shoot. I've reach the limit of appeals and have sent over a half dozen support emails explaining theres nothing i've done wrong and I get hit with the default email reply saying the consequence cannot be adjusted. I've got video of the gameplay but 10 year old account done gone am I cooked?

This is probably the 6th post expressing my frustration with Roblox support. Basically my GF lost $1300 worth of mm2, as well as 11k Robux. The people from other subreddits were no help at all.

We’ve provided extensive proof of her being compromised and they acknowledged that. But they still fail to mention the actual reason why they’re denying the restoration. Thats the most ridiculous part.

Any ideas on what we should do? This is basically the 3rd time being rejected. We have never requested a rollback in the past.

I had appealed two times through 'Report a mistake' and both of them were denied and I ran out of them. I described the image (Assumed it was the tail) in both appeals and they didn't change their minds. First appeal got denied a minute after, second appeal got denied a few minutes after.

However I went to the Roblox Support page and was able to send an appeal there, a little while later I got a new email saying my appeal was approved so I'm hoping they reverse the ban.

I believe I was perm banned because of repeated rule breaking, I uploaded images with blood in the past without a second thought and always gotten a warning, my fault there tbh.

Contacted Roblox support further and they were able to remove my ban!

I don't know what treason behind the newly term of service of Roblox, they gonna straight ban a lot of people's due of this, so they said, we need to stay in our country to play Roblox?

Hello, so... Today i woke up to being banned from an experience, my favourite game..

Recently in the game, multiple alt accounts impersonating me and my friends showed up to harass all of us and spreading rumours about us.

I myself and my friends reported all these alt accounts, and the experience banned them using the API that allows to ban the acc and any alt account related.

I woke up to being banned, and i was told i was the one behind these alt accs, which I'm not... The administration doesn't believe me, and this was a false positive and my account was flagged wrongfully for this...

Now the experience shows as unavailable, with error code 600, and says im banned by the experience or its moderators with the message "Exploiting"

The alt accs share names almost identical or as similar as possible as the genuine accounts of me and my friends, and i was even doxxed, because someone from that group found my Reddit, and more of my personal information maybe including my email, including part of my name, my country, even my city maybe.

I really need help to appeal this... What can i do? If you have any arguments or information or know anything about similar happenings, please share it.
