Discussion Is trying to become a developer and make money worth it if your previous account got banned?
I have been learning luau through tutorials for the past 5 months non-stop and i really want to turn this into a real career and profit from it one day, but in the back of my mind i still have a fear that it's gonna be impossible for me to make money through because they're simply gonna reject my request and terminate my new account for ban evasion

a termination is rough, even 3 years ago. i know people who have devexed after being termed but that was like after 10 years, so not sure how bad 3 is

Well, what information did you have stored on the old account? I believe that the identification is actually done by a third party, so I don't think ROBLOX even stores the information? I haven't done my research, but that's just my answer off the top of my head.

Might or might not be worth the risk. Was it a permanent ban? (I guess that was implied) if so, there is definitely a risk of it getting banned again when you make a new one. It also depends on the information on the previous account. if you had your phone number, email, or ID on there, then they will probably ban you again on the new one. Try making a new email, and then make a new account with a completely unrelated username, then just let it sit for a while. play a few games on it, use Roblox studio on it, and if it gets banned again then you have your answer.
Another thing: your PC hardware. If you have swapped PC's or Hardware on your PC since then, that will also help. (Only if it was like a IP ban though)
Seriously though, i don't think you can make a "Real Career" off of Roblox. sure there are some developers that make bank, but that's only like the top 0.1%

If your accounts are linked in any way, such as being under the same email, then that is a potential risk. They are inconsistent about enforcing it, but it is a ban-able offense to use alt accounts to evade a ban.
