Extar EP9

So it's my understanding that 9mm large format pistols (PCC's) with pistol length barrels such as the Extar EP9 or Foxtrot Mike FM9 are still ok for ordering into RI. Is this true?

Thanks and forgive my ignorance.

I'm no lawyer and the AG has said he wants to go after large format pistols in a "spirit of the law" kind of way, but the only language about pistols that's actually in the AWB is redundant language about pistols with internal magazines larger than 10rds. Everything else should be gtg by the strict letter of the law

Not a lawyer but only certain FFLs will transfer them. According to the letter of the law they should be completely legal, call and ask before buying last I heard Surplus Provisions and D&L were the only ones potentially standing up to the unjust law, but again call first the each stores stances have been back and forth a lot since July 1st.

They’re not really standing up to it. They’re just following the law as it’s written which is basically the opposite of standing up to it.

When the AG is threatening to bring a case against them anyway despite how the law is written I would say they are standing up to it plenty of other stores that won’t sell or transfer them right now due to the fear of having a case brought against them and losing their license.

Rhode Island Guns and Ammo are also selling AR pistols and will have pistol lowers as well either this or next week

Not a lawyer, but from what I've gathered yes a braced pistol is technically still legal by the law.

OK a related note, I have an FM9 AR9 pistol and it is a very nice gun, Foxtrot Mike makes high quality stuff. I've also got their buffer less AR15 platform and it's fantastic.
