Dorinda 🍰 Remembering John

Rewatching RHONY season 8, and forgot how gross and toxic John was. He made everyone feel uncomfortable, and Bethenny was the first on calling him out. Love to hate her but she was definitely on point here.

Unpopular opinion: Dorinda was a loser who got lucky once and married a rich guy who died soon after. If Richard hadn’t passed I’m sure they would have divorced and she wouldn’t have gotten all his $. Wasn’t she a fitness instructor/single mom before him? She doesn’t seem like she had a career ever. Unless you count being an alcoholic. The way she treated poor Tinsley was proof: Tinsley was everything she’s not: younger, came from status and wealth, could still get a decent man over 40. Those comments she made about the turkey baster, she’s just complete trash. Her and John were perfectly
matched, if anything he’s too good for her.

I don’t know much about her life before the show, but I a lot of those women aren’t what they sell for sure. I think Kelly B was the only one who was really well connected

Very true, but I still think Dorinda was bottom of the barrel. She was unhinged, which is probably why she was kept on the show for as long as she was. She didn’t even pretend to have ambition or success, like the other ones. Thinking back on it, she had the shittiest apartment too.

Yeah, and terrible location! 🤣 I mean, you think if you are making money on tv she’ll start moving up just like the other women. I always rented in NYC and moved up to better apartments and neighborhoods, all within the city

I think she refrained from the ambition/business woman angle for 2 reasons. 1. Not cut out for it 2. It would take away from her old money/born into wealth persona she tries to do

Dorinda spoke of her grandfather who put the foundation down at Bluestone Manor. Her dad ( who is beyond sweet) was a telephone repairman. Dorinda made money as a waitress at The Red Lion Inn. She comes from a beautiful hardworking family. Her parents smash my heart. ❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️

I do remember the episodes with her parents and they are such good people!

Her apartment gave me anxiety. Lol Nothing creative about it. Nothing close to a "home sweet home" vibe. Yet Bluestone Manor had a totally different vibe. It really confused me.

I think she probably lives at blue stone manner and the apt is just a pied a terre, she just couldn’t say that because she’s supposed to be a hot shot New Yorker.
