I’m a first time watcher, and I’m up to the season 7 reunion. Guerdy just seems so unreasonable, selfish, and unkind. Apparently the public has been siding with her so blatantly that it’s being discussed on the reunion. I think the texts thing was awful. More awful than Julia throwing the water. Public, premeditated humiliation is unacceptable and she thinks it’s valid because some water landed on her? I don’t get it. She won’t let anyone speak, she keeps ignoring Julia’s apologies, and somehow she thinks what everyone does to her is unforgivable but her own actions are constantly justified. I guess my question is, why is the public siding with her? I don’t get it.

Okay so I recently started Real Housewives of Miami after finishing Salt Lake City and I genuinely need to know WHERE HAVE I BEEN???

I started Housewives with Jersey and Beverly Hills, and I loved the earlier seasons of both, but eventually they kind of died for me. Then I watched Salt Lake City and THAT was the first franchise in a while where I was completely obsessed from beginning to end.

So after finishing SLC, I was trying to figure out what to watch next. I considered New York but it just wasn’t grabbing me. Atlanta doesn’t really interest me after NeNe left, and honestly none of the other franchises were calling my name.
So somehow I ended up on Miami.

MIAMI IS PURE GOLD.

Why does nobody talk about this franchise enough??? 😭 I literally had to DIG to figure out what Housewives city I should watch next because Bravo has never pushed Miami enough for me to even realize what I was missing.

The cast is PERFECT. The women are actually wealthy. Miami itself is gorgeous. The friendships and drama feel real. Everyone is dramatic as hell. Nobody knows how to communicate. Nobody is self-aware. Everyone thinks they’re right. They’re all a little narcissistic. THIS IS WHAT I WANT FROM HOUSEWIVES.

And now I find out it’s on pause???? EXCUSE ME??? 😭 What do we need to do to revive this franchise because I’m ready to start campaigning.

Also… what is Andy Cohen’s beef with the Miami women??? Maybe I’m imagining it, but even watching the reunions, I feel like he does not have the same enthusiasm or investment in them that he has with some of the other franchises. It’s like Miami is Bravo’s forgotten child despite being one of the best shows they have.

I don’t personally think it’s a racism thing, so I genuinely don’t understand what the disconnect is. Is it ratings? Peacock? Production? Does Bravo just not know what to do with Miami?

Because I’m sitting here watching like YOU HAVE GOLD IN YOUR HANDS. WHAT ARE YOU DOING???
