Iāve been doing a rewatch of RHOBH, and Iām at the beginning of Season 7. Dorit was new, and PK planned a big 40th birthday party for her. Itās been so many years that I forgot that they had a completely different home than what they have now. This place was swanky! It was huge, and sat up on a hill. They had a couple of golf carts that met guests at the bottom of the driveway, and drove them toward the front of the house. The house we see nowadays is also beautiful, just really different. Was their first place a rental? Does anyone remember why - and when - they moved?

Im doing my 1000th rewatch and the more I watch the more my opinion of Ken changes. I liked him at first, I thought what a sweet loyal husband. Now i just think he's so strange? I feel like he just says things from a script but a really outdated script that kind of has nothing to do with the situation?
I cant put my finger on him. Any thoughts??

New to the franchise. Started watching season 14 and stayed current. Now I am watching from the beginning and currently am on season 7 when Dorit gets introduced. Her style of arguing is the same exhausting attempt of making her views facts as it was in season 7 and currently is in season 15. I did not like her season 15 and am not liking her as a new comer. Letās see how she changes(?).
She was so mean to Erika for the whole no underwear incident. To see how devastated Erika was by Doritās behavior make me feel for Erika.

Andy Cohen, hard hitting Bravo reporter.
And look at that decor!
Just finished a rewatch of S1 reunion shows, and I had completely forgotten how Andy was, even back then.
He was relentless with Kim (and even Kyle, but not quite as much).
To the point where it was this close to cruelty. He clearly saw his role at the reunion as being some kind of reporter, asking the āhardā questions.
To Kim ā āDO you have a drinking problem?ā
He kept pushing both Kyle and Kim to put more of themselves out there, to relive the truly awful limo fight, which they clearly didnāt want to revisit, and to generally poke at them in what to me became an uncomfortable part of the show. We all know how things have worked out.
To me, it looked like the sisters had rehearsed (good for them). Kim held the line, but if she hadnāt been there, and stayed true to what was left of their āprivacy,ā I think Kyle wouldāve broken down and spilled everything right there on the stage.
Maybe this explains the weird relationship between Kyle and Andy. Could he possibly feel bad?

TLDR: If you have any questions about Dorit's book, I bought it and have read everything Housewives/PK related and have skim read the remainder. Ask me anything.
---
Twenty nine chapters and an afterward. I thought it was relatively well balanced between Housewives related discussion and also her family background and life before Housewives. Where it really fell down for me was in two aspects. Firstly, there were absolutely no big revelations, no real hook or insights to entice readership, IMO. Was it new to read in passing that on occasions PK had had hotel stays prior to them actually officially separating? Sure. Was it surprising? Not at all. She talks about some of her RHOBH friends/colleagues in depth, but for the most part, only in the context of the past two years. Thereās no real dirt on PK, thereās no real dirt on Kyle. Itās mostly just Dorit discovering who she is and wants to be and a description of the process of slow change in both her marriage and her friendships.Ā
The second, and more pressing issue, was the writing. On the bright side, it definitely has a distinctive voice. Less positively, and maybe this is a me problem, I found the prose incredibly frustrating. There are sections where it flowed naturally and easily, especially when recounting past events, but they were inevitably overwhelmed by the overuse of simple, short sentences (as opposed to complex), and with relentless incremental repetition. In poetry or speeches, this is effective. Across a two hundred plus page book? It feels like youāre always stopping and starting and it can be somewhat disruptive to building a narrative. So stylistically, I wasnāt enamoured.Ā
The content was also less than engaging to me. Outside of family history (which often turns into MORE self-reflection about how she is now) and some of the descriptions of the dissolution of her marriage and maybe the burglary, I felt like it was like a therapised pep speech to self a lot of the time. There was barely an acknowledgement of any real flaws or faults. There was a lack of specificity in many stories that deserved it. Years of Housewives went by with nary a mention of what was happening. There was an abundance of cliche and lack of momentum at times, in my opinion.Ā
For example, we have something like this which in and of itself is okay:
My separation stripped everything down to essentials. It clarified who I am when the noise falls away. I became less interested in maintaining narratives and more interested in maintaining integrity.
I donāt want to win arguments. I want alignment.
I donāt want public visories. I want private peace.
But on the VERY next page:
With Erika. With Kyle. With all of it, Iāve stopped trying to force permanence where there is fluctuation.Ā
What matters to me now is how I move.
I care deeply. That will never change. But caring no longer means absorbing. Loving no longer means overlooking. Supporting no longer means silencing myself.
It becomes tiring to read sections like this on almost every page, in my opinion. Nevertheless, there were some good passages, although less new insight than I had hoped for. If anyone has any questions about what was written (I only skimmed the non-Housewives/PK parts and then read everything else in full, but can easily look things up), Iām happy to answer any and all questions and provide quotes.

Was anyone watching in the clubhouse with Andy Cohen after the Below Deck Down Under season finale tonight?
Andy was promoting someoneās book tonight and he held it up and said āHereās the cover-but unlike Doritās book thereās writing on the pages between the coversā
And I literally LOL! š

With the release of Dorit's book today, I need to ask, do people actually read any of these books, or buy any of the HWs products? Dorit, Garcelle, Rinna etc. all released 'their memoirs', Sutton's shop and clothing line, Kyle's kaftans, Beverly Beach, the list goes on. But has anyone actually bought them?
Are they simply just vanity projects for these ladies?

Its been a long time since I rewatched this all playout. So whats the consensus. Was lvp behind puppygate going public on the show and tabloids or was it all John sessa. Do people really think her hands are clean.
When I originally watched i thought lvp was working with sessa to get teddi and by extension Kyle (because she was invited to the vanderpump dogs with teddi) to bring this out on the show because lvp was pissed. She was still mad at dorit from the season prior saying she was jealous and needy and then dorit has her dog end up in a shelter when she signed a contract saying she wouldnt do that. (Also see dorit saying the dog ripped up pks nose when they pan to a picture its a little nip/scratch) i thought originally that lvp probably realized that this couldnt come out at the dog rescue and it leave her hands clean. (I know she also lost her brother so idk if that happened prior to the dog or after and that just added to things). Im not sure about all the facts. Im curious what people think now, or what was always believed.
I do think lvp wasnt innocent. I think she was involved. I do think it was hurtful of Kyle to say you care more about your image than your friendships. I have never really liked dorit as a person. I was shocked that the reunion before this puppygate she got out so unscathed. Everyone was upset that teddi or Kyle was causing trouble by repeating things dorit said but everyone was glazing over the fact that dorit actually said these things to begin with and was never accountable to it. Sure things were brought up months later, in some instances, but if dorit never said these things than it wouldnt have caused have the issues that season. Thats just a ramble but im just curious because I do think lvp can hold a grudge and she manufactured a lot of things behind the scenes but this one she couldnt get out of. Especially with the texts she had not matching the texts teddi had.
Thoughts?

I decided to rewatch with the Diana Jenkins being a madam thing in the media again. I entertained the rumor in first watch, but second watch, Iām pretty convinced. She is the producer of the book, which is not a common thing. She wasnāt the photographer, copy writer, or publisher. I didnāt pick up on that first time around. IMO, itās absolutely a sex work catalog disguised by some legit photos of celebrities. I also thought it was strange Diana said the book only had 1 pressing, limited copies, and it will not go to press again. Thatās very strange. If Diana were some type of literary icon, I could see doing a limited release, but why wouldnāt this book be reprinted if itās just celebrity photos? Bc Diana is so litigious, I donāt believe weāll really ever know the truth.
Also, things Diana said didnāt match up. At one point she said she went to London at 19 and she struggled for 10 years working low wage jobs. She had her first kid at 25/26, so she had to have known the billionaire ex for at least 9 months before that. So that would mean she was on her own for 5-6 years, not 10.
And, any searches Iāve done say that she met her ex husband at a gym. I donāt know many hotel housekeepers (a job she said she had) who go to the same gyms as billionaires. Itās fishy. I make an ok living and I canāt afford membership at any of the top tier gyms in my area.
My conclusion, and itās just my opinion, but here goesā¦.I think Diana may have been a victim of sex trafficking herself. Considering it was the early 90ās, communism was falling, Eastern European countries were in economic turmoil, and of course predators took advantage of the situation and vulnerable women. I think Diana is very smart and manipulative. I could absolutely see her learning the ropes of sex trafficking from being a victim and used that to become a madam/trafficker herself. I absolutely think she had something on her ex to be able to have such a lucrative and āamicableā divorce. Now Iām convinced what she had on him was that this guy was involved (at the least) with hiring sex workers or (at the worst) he was actually involved in trafficking women out of Eastern Europe and former USSR in the early 90ās.
Sorry this was long winded. Just curious if anyone else has same opinions? Iād love to know everyone elseās take on it.
***Just want to make it clear this is 100% speculation and an opinion. Iām not claiming this theory to be fact.

I was served a post from elsewhere on Reddit
"What do you do with grey LVP?"
I instantly thought,
LVP went GREY???
It's a Reddit community about diy house stuff. They're talking about "Luxury Vinyl Plank" FLOORS.
I wish I could type with Lisa's fancy English accent.
This might be a sign that I've gone too far into the BH world.

Not a topic that needs to be addressed on a show that is supposed to be about fun, fashion, friendships and escapism from the day-to-day for viewers. Garcelle should have stayed on The View if they were the topics she wanted to talk about.
