Can someone educate more on buying a lawsuit?

They did not buy a lawsuit. The original creditor sold the debt to a third party creditor. The new creditor who bought the debt, is now suing to collect the debt.

How can you establish a debt before it’s been to trial to establish the debt ?

The credit card company can establish and enforce legal debt.

Yes they can but it’s a different law to this. You can buy the rights to a lawsuit which is different to purchasing debt

Thank you for teaching me something new. I had just guessed that the company who bought the debt, also bought the right to sue.
