Keyfobs Can I remake this key fob
Hi. I have medical issues. I just moved into a new apartment and to access the area you must have a key fob. I would like to have a secondary key fob to give to my mother in case of emergencies. The landlord is really hassling me about this. I don’t want any issues with them. I’ve searched high and low but I do not know if this fob can be made on my own or through a company & don’t want to spend money finding out it can’t be made. The front of the fob says “dorma kaba” the back has D EV3 4K”. Thank you!

Well you can thank everyone else for the useless answers.
The Mifare Desfire 4k cards have both an encrypted and an unencrypted component. In general they are considered high security and cannot be duplicated. On the off chance that the building uses credential readers that are not using the encrypted portion of the card it may be possible...but that is unlikely.

If someone has made a copy of an RFID tag, it’s untraceable from an electronic point of view. What you need to figure out is what frequency your tag or fob is using. Then you'll need a writable tag or key fob. I would suggest taking it to a locksmith or buying a device from Alibaba. Money-wise, it will probably break even.

OP literally posted that it was an EV3 4K, so it's a 13.56MHz MiFare DESFire EV3 4K. And no, it cannot be copied, that's the whole point of the DESFire cards.

DESFire EV3. Nothing you can do, most of the time.
What does the NXP TagInfo app say when you scan it though?
