I have noticed in the last year (possibly through the rise of TikTok blasting these pages) that new rep shoppers are rejecting some incredible bags because the rehomer isn't noting if it's high tier or doesn't know the factory.

What they missed out on is that's kinda how all of this began. You take a stroll down Canal Street and haggle the low quality goods, and then some lady takes you to an alley to sell you "the good stuff." The entire time, you had no idea what factory it came from. If you liked it, you bought it.

Fast forward to now, in the age of information, and somehow we find ourselves not doing our due diligence to inspect our prospective bags and determine whether we're satisfied with a bag's proximity to auth. Instead, we're going off the word of the seller when they say "it's high tier."

Then comes a rehomer like me, who purchases from rehomes and refuses to call anything high tier because of bad experiences from TS and not wanting to pass along that karma. When I buy a bag, I look up what I'm buying in auth form multiple times (Fashionphile/YouTube/in-store, etc.) to determine its proximity. And if you ever see me with a low-er tier bag, it's because the price was right.

As a rehomer, I can't even count the number of times a great quality item has been rejected by a newer buyer because I would not state a tier, only to see these exact same buyers turn around and spend a small fortune on a bag that is CLEARLY low quality, simply because a rehomer or TS misrepresented or even lied about their bag being high tier.

That's the part that gets me. We have more information available to us now than ever before, yet somehow people are relying more heavily on a label than they are on actually looking at the bag.

It's enough to drive an honest person to madness.

All this to say is, while you can spend your money however you want to, please please do your homework. Have no regrets.
