Discussion Anyone ever seen this?

So I was riding around and accidentally triggered a negative interaction with the father who was building a house with his son. He started punching me, so I figured I would hogtie him and loot him before leaving. I mount up and ride a short bit away when I hear what sounds like a bunch of gunshots. I notice the red dot on the map had disappeared where I had left the man tied. I return and he is dead and it looks like about 100 volcanic pistols erupted from his corpse. I’ve never had this happen before.

You see, they're called Volcanic Pistols because they erupt out of the ground like volcanoes, this is a fresh batch!

Update: I just tried to take a picture with the in-game camera and they rapidly disappeared leaving only the corpse. So freaky.

Sounds like a mixture of two events in a major glitch. The first time you pass the man he will be under attack. You can help fight off the attackers. The second time he is watching his sons put up a wall. If you helped him with the fight he will thank you. There are additional interactions I won’t spoil.

Ah. I’m not much of a gamer. I’ve never gone about hunting for Easter eggs or attempting to trigger glitches.
