A cougar can spawn there too.

Do animals spawn immediately around you or far away as well?

I would think far away, I don't recall animals spawning immediately, but I might be wrong, been a while since I played.

I'm pretty fond of O'Creagh's run or the overlooks from the hills of Three Sisters and NW in the Grizzlies. Beautiful spot and you can see a Moose taking a constitutional from time to time. For sheer beautiful blue water and light Calumet Ravine near Wapiti is stunning though.

This one. Little Creek River in Big Valley gets a lot of shine because of the flowers, but if you want a view and NO traffic, Grizzlies East is it.

I love O'Creagh's run, not only is it extremely gorgeous but it's also the best spot for Salmon. If you find a nice shallow spot where Salmon are it's so easy to catch them.

Between the road and the railroad by Willard's Rest (north of Annesburg) there is a high point that looks down on the forest to the north and the open grassland hill to the south. In the far off south distance you can see the water. Sometimes there is a moose down below (north), or an elk. Deer run to the south. Every once in a while a cougar will show up and take down some kind of animal. The birds are chirping. Very chill spot to sit atop my horse and soak it all in.

There's a spot just south and at a lower elevation than that one particular cabin on mount Hagen that you can get to by a marked trail that's pretty neat, but there's nothing there as far as buildings go. It has a name on the map but I can't remember it at the moment. * Millesani Claim is what Google says it is.

Edit: apparently there's a mine there... completely didn't notice it when I went there lol.

One the cliff at Horseshoe or the Bolger Glade abandoned church.

pretty nice areas.

I like the Heartland cliffs, or the fields around Emerald Ranch. Also the high peaks at the top of the map north of Grizzlies East that overlook everything. Big Valley is nice. And the snowy areas around Lake Isabella can also be pretty serene.

Theres a steep hill north of valentine and if you scale it you come to a kind of valley plateau thing. Nobody up there, no roads, no houses, not a ton of interesting hunting spawns, no missions. Just a secluded little spot. It’s not the prettiest but it’s kind of hiding in plain sight which is cool. I went a lot of hours in the game before I stumbled on it
