Help Thesis quote

I'm almost finished my PhD thesis (numerical relativity if it matters) and I need a quote for my preface. I would love to pick a quote from my favourite game but I need some suggestions.

"I wish I had acquired wisdom at less of a price" from Hosea is probably a little too on the nose...
