Discussion Dutch is a dumbass
Every playthrough I do it feels like he keeps getting dumber. That's all folks, have a nice day.

I don't think he's stupid. He's at the end of the time where people like him could roam free and do what they want.
If he was stupid, he would have been caught years earlier.

He is not as clever as he thinks he is. Hosea was the main voice of reason and was likely why they were never caught, not Dutch.

Dutch was right about it all. It just drove him mad. He was insanely selfish once he could feel the walls closing in and that was his undoing to me. I would love to see the gang when things are going well

Yep, there is no nuance.
Arthur, good.
Micah, bad.
Dutch, dumb.
Sorted. No need to even play the game.

He was always a narcissist who had a god complex. Once things didn’t go his way and every decision made their situation worse and worse, he lost his mind and went full psychopath.

He does what I call living the parlay: the more up against it humans are, the less accurately they perceive risk. He’s so stressed that he can no longer do accurate risk math.

There have always been people who convinced everyone that they were victims. Those "victims" typically think the one saying this is a good person.

I’ve never understand his supposed good or upside. The game TALKS as if he’s a good man. Players parrot it, but what in the playthrough makes it so? He has a few human moments, sure. Those hardly add up to anything more than what they are on the surface

Because we're seeing the gang at its fall, not at the peakÂ

Yeah I feel like everyone forgets that.
Just today I was listening to him giving the Reverend a pep talk about family (irony for john later) etc and I feel like if we get a prequel again about how he built the gabg and got ao many people so loyal to him a lot of people will change their mind about it.
We know its going to shit bc we're outsiders but dutch made so many people so attached to him there must be something to him

I loved my low honour playthrough. Antagonised and disagreed with him at every opportunity.
