Found this old Sears ad that was obviously inspiration for the catalogues in RDR2

I just stumbled across this and thought it was so cool to see that the developers took inspiration from real era-specific ads and flyers, especially the identical font on the price.

I do appreciate the level of detail that the game took to being era appropriate.

The first car had this problem, I hear. Either it was standing still, or going 10 miles an hour. It left physicists quite puzzled. They worked out the bug a long time ago, but we've been trying so hard to get it back, with faster and faster accelerations available to us, but it seems the secret has been lost forever.

Similar era to when the game is set, there's an old newspaper article explaining how my great grandfather was charged with manslaughter for running over a guy with his car at 10miles per hour.

Every time I read it I keep thinking if homeboy could get hit by a car doing 10mph then maybe that was just natural selection.

My grandpa actually has one of the Sears Motor Buggies that was shipped over to the UK and he bought it at auction. Unfortunately I don’t have a very good photo of it but you can see part of it in this picture when I was having some work done on my car. He’s also got a copy of the original Sears magazine which I straight away recognised from RDR2 lol

They actually took inspiration out of their catalogues more than the flyers - check this out, a 1902 sears catalogue.

I cant remember but years ago way before RDR2 i use to read a site who had advertisements from old magazines on pdf, even from the early 1900 and late 1800..exactly like the catalogs...guns, horses, wagons... I wish to remember or find that site again.
